Here's a non generalization. If you go to Copacabana in Luanda Angola, there are many hot women there more than willing to go home with you for $30. Other good places are Miami's for dinner and Royal Pub for little honeys before heading to copa. Watch your wallet, they will try to rip you off if they can!
In Doualla, Copa-banana (yes, banana) is a good place to watch the girls do pole dancing in a strip club atmosphere early evening. Later in the night, the disco next door to that (forget the name) is the best place in town to pick up loose women. You can take them home for $30-$40 for the night. Watch your wallet, they will try to rip you off if they can.
In Ndjamena Chad, there are a few nice discos to go to. The novotel is a good place to stay. The owner keeps hookers on site at all times. Just head to the bar if you want action. They will even knock on your door from time to time if you are alone. But watch out, they will try to rip you off if they get the chance.
There are many more places I've been in Africa. The girls almost always will try to rip you off if given the chance. They are definitely sexy, but don't get too drunk! You may wake up a little lighter in the wallet and the girls are nowhere to be found.
I'm sure there may be occasions when you can find honest prostitutes there. But from my experiences, Thai and Indonesian prostitutes are very easy to trust. They have never tried to rip me off - and I have been with hundreds. I would never trust an African prostitute.
