Bats Bar Located Shangri La Hotel
Tigah Pullah (# 30 in Bahasa) Located Le Meridian Hotel. Stayed at all above hotels and Ambhara hotel (2 minute walk to Blok M) Caution: Girls get very attached very quickly - sound familiar?

Can you be a bit more specific on your warnings? I'm used to the usual measures in BKK and have never had any problem. Manila though is a little bit more rock 'n roll and not quite to my taste... Jakarta?

I've lived in Jakarta since 1998 and that price quote is about 5 years out of date for Bats or Tiga Puluh. You're going to have to pay about 500k for LT from those places.

Agree LFL, many in the High End Hotel Bars are asking for a cool Million, but never had one refuse 500K, 300K would I would think would get you slapped across the face!
The Blok, is more a 300-500K place!

I am a Starwood member, so I would like to stay in a Sheraton, Westin or Le Meridian in Jakarta.
Anyone familiar with the city, please let me know which is the better place to stay in regards to nightlife.

Le Meridien has the Tiga Puluh bar, where there is usually talent to be found, just don't leave your drink unattended.
