yes, Bali is predominantly hindu, not buddhist at all.
still, any drop in tourism wil hurt the poor in Bali.
guess there won't be any escapades in Indonesia for some of us. at least, not for now anyway.

Latest news in indonesia, all bars, disco and nightclubs are to be closed over ramadan (early november - early december). Seems that this country is going the islamic way as well! Sad, sad, sad! May be at the end there will be even more girls on the street desperate for a contribution as tourism will for sure subside in indonesia on these news!!!

can only refer to jakarta, some places are shut others like the venues in the hotels seemed to be open. unfortunately the ever booming "bats" in shangri-la hotel is also closed for "renovation" what a strategic accident!

do you know when Bats will reopen? I was in Bali 2 weeks before the blast and meet some cool people in a band at the hard rock that was supposed to start playing at Bats in November.. I will be there first week of December.. will it be open again by then?

the first week of December is no good for travelling to Indonesia. Port Ramadan, indonesia is entirely closed officially for about 5 days and in some instances for up to 2 weeks. This break is called "LEBARAN - post fasting elongated break, the single major holiday in Indonesia. Postpone your trip to round about Xmas time.
Going during Lebaran is fine, as long as you have a prior arrangement of 3-4 girls. Then you may well "Zzzzz".

the Bars in the Hotels are open, as well the chicks are still available. A brudder from KL just left Jakarta and he said this place is the best. WEll brudders thats his opinion. But a lot of guest from Sing, Germany, UK, France say the same, they all experienced other places before and still their Opinion about Indonesian chicks are very positive.
I will share soon with more info on Jakarta and Bandung after the Month of lebaran.

sure indoesian chicks are one of the best in the world no doubt! it is just that it is getting a bit more difficult these days in indonesia with the political / muslim environment and hatered against western, mainly australian and american people!
