Just about putting my finishing touches to my summer holidays - which also includes re-living my bachelor days for 10/14 days - can't wait.  Will be away with the familiy in July - watch this space for the 30th July when my partying will begin.
If Vicky is back - is Anna still around ?? - I'll just have to pass by Jockeys again to see if I can re-live the experience 
Would be great to meet up and put more faces to the names  - first round on me

Where were you when the lights went out?
Had a 2 hour power failure today in Dubai, starting just before 10am. It looked pretty extensive; police at every major intersection in my area, directing traffic. Good idea; no sense HERE of taking your turn. Without police, would have been a free-for-all, a game of chicken. 
For me, I was still in bed with last night's pull. Pleased to note the power outage had NO effect on the morning's wakeup, although hard to say if my sweating due to the bj or the lack of a/c.

I was out and about and noticed something really amusing. At the traffic lights near the Meena Plaza Hotel, on the way to Ramada etc, there was this huge crowd of construction guys sitting on the pavement, probably waiting for their cattle wagon to arrive. What else can you call those huge contraptions into which these poor souls pile in to get from one place to another.
Well the really amazing thing was that the foreman of this group took it on himself to direct the traffic. And he was doing a pretty good job of it too with all the motorists obeying his hand signals. Amazing. I am sure the police, when they arrived, would have been equally amazed to see how well behaved the traffic was.

Only two hours, you were lucky - My office in Jebal Ali was out from around 10 until 4:30 thei afternoon. Looks like it was pretty extensive and even affected parts of Sharjah

Hearing quite a few horror stories of people stuck in elevators in Sh.Zyd rd high rise apartment buildings and hotel. Wonder how they coped being coopped up in the narrow confines for 4-5 hours. Hopefully some of them met some WG's (in the elevators of course) on their way back home after a honest night's work. But seriously it must have been horrifying experience. The Ramada/Choithram area in Bur dubai got the power back around 5 pm. almost 7 hours later.

I would have thought the fire department would have been moving around, letting them out. But maybe not.
Even an hour, close confines, NO a/c...
