Pretty certain you cannot just show up! You can get a pre approval online & simple pay the Visa fee at Immigration, needs 2 to 3 days processing time last time I did this otherwise its to the Embassy or their representative in Thailand.

Brothers-I have seen the light! Nice big lovely lights.... dozens and dozens of 'em all at eye level while dining. What's the food like? Who gives a crap! OK, let me back up a bit lest I get overheated. I was just introduced to an AMAZING restaurant here in the city I call home. I feel a bit guilty about not knowing it considering I've driven by the place at least a billion times. (No, really-a billion) It looks like any other "binh dan" (working class) restaurant-metal tables, plastic chairs, grills and lots and lots of VNese. But oh the staff!! AND OH MY STAFF... but I digress. These girls-and I mean girls in the mega plural sense of the word-are all there as free lancers. They all wait tables but are working only for tips. And all these girls just dress any ol' way they want-which pretty much had me pitching tents (if you get my not so subtle drift) the whole time I was there. And these poor girls, struggling to get by... in the literal sense I'm happy to say... lots of titties on the shoulder... (How does that Bob Denver song go-Titties on my shoulder make me happy, titties on my shoulder make me sigh... there I go, digressing again) So anyway, I'm in there for lunch waiting for a buddy to arrive and three stunning VNese gals come sauntering over and ask what I'd like. Naturally, I say "Trang mieng". (dessert) So I get two phone numbers. I just love the way these girls think. And believe it or not, the food is really quite good and quite reasonable.
So now that you're all chomping at the bit to get there, the downside is that the two times I was there I saw only one foreigner (Hmm, now why would that be a downside?) and that's because even though it's in district 3-not far from the main part of town where the tourists are-nobody there speaks English. But fear not, for I am here to help you. I'm quite the novelty there and in order to maintain it, I'm gonna need your guys help. So when you arrive in this city (Oz, you listening?) look me up and I'll take you there. I'll work the ol' charm (or lack thereof) and I'll graciously allow you to pay the bill. No, really-it's the least I could do. And how much is this place? I went for dinner-the three of us had grilled chicken, grilled beef, salads, french fries, assorted snacks (the real yummy ones come after the girls' shift is ended) and downed 18 bottles of Tiger beer between us and got out of there for less than $30. So there it is-I've seen the light and am willing to share the bounty!

I'm in Saigon now, I can assure you that entry VISA needed. I had to spend an extra day in Manila becuz I was a jackass that believed the BKK travel agent that VISA wasn't needed. Thai citizens do not need VISA

Last year August I was in HCMC. Walked around in district nr1 and was stopped by two girls on a motor bike. They offer me a sex with a one of them or any other girl back in their hotel. Any new updates would be appreciated. Getting out of LOS is requiring a bus ride to Cambodia and a flight to Saigon. Staying one night at the Sheraton, and want to find the best p4p possible in my one night stand. I see conflicting reports on 23rd floor. Can someone recommend (quickly - I fly tomorrow) one good massage (the all over kind), and one top notch evening venue. I want quality - money not really an issue. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Jet: I was there for a week in June. A couple blocks from the Sheraton is Hai Ba Trung. Look for the # Bars (36,53,etc) (sorry I can't remember the real #s) on the R facing the river. There's good talent in all of them. I got f***ed by a total hottie in the pool room of one of them and blown in the bathroom by a stunner in another. They've got the whole program down (BF, Girl, Taxi, & Shortime Hotel) as a package deal. These Mini-Hotels are real nice by Thailand standards. You can even pay by CC ! FL's at 'Apocalypse Now' a block away. Sheraton won't let your girl in, unless you get her from upstairs. I went up there a couple times and didn't see anything worthwhile. Bars close at midnight but motos and taxis can find you some that stay open 'till 3 or so. You can get a BBBJ at certain barbershops (Hot Toc) (ask motos) for daytime action and get full service at MPs. I stayed at the Vien Dong on Pham Ngu Lao for a couple nights and the quality at its MP was fabulous. Moto took me to a MP in a hotel in Cholon (Chinatown) and it was even better. Good Luck; wj

Thanks, WJ - well, just didn't have enough time. Went to a small bar and met some great girls (not working) and was having so much fun, just stayed. Did meet a moto taxi who took me out later, but you are right - Sheraton said no way. I was really pissed, but they wouldn't budge. Anyway, gave the girl some money and went up to bed alone - I had a flight at noon the next day. I am really intrigued by Saigon and will be back - soon.
