Does anyone know if Le Meridien Dubai is girl-friendly? Also, where is it? (Not "Le Meridien Mina Seyahi").

Hmmmm you have been away a while and it shows mate. Le Meridien is near Dubai Airport. And if you are booked into the proper Le meriien and not the Emirates wing then you should be fine. The Emirates wing of that hotel is not very GF.

I use to stay at Le Meridien Dubai, which is close to the airport. It is expensive, but so far had never problems with bringing somebody.
The main lobby is quite large and from there you can also access various restaurants. I have not seen any real control on guests and friends.
However, I normally use the back entrance, which is on the Meridien Village side, with few more restaurants, including a pub, Jules Bar, where you can find a limited selection of girls and a philipino band after 10 pm.
At the back entrance there is always a doorman, which opens the door (with a envious smile) and a small lobby, but nobody cares. No registration, no extra fees.
It is only two floors, so no elevators, but long hallways and it is likely you will walk into other guests (depending the hour) and personnel.
So far so good. I hope it stays like that.

Yes mate it was my first African safari. And it was great. And if I spot that 6 foot russian at the rockefellas I am going to go mountain climbing again. And as Sporadic says I wont need a tibetan to guide me. I think I know my way around by now.
Sporadic: I hope when you are in town next we will get a chance to go hunting for that 6 footer. Man I never laid eyes on her again after the first time we spotted her. There is one 6 footer at the York now. A very slim brunette with an interesting rack. Interesting because it seems so out of place on that slim frame I just feel the urge to investigate the authencity of the package.
Yesterday at the York, with Superman, we spotted a couple of girls sitting behind us quietly. No marketing at all. We both thought they were asians. Perhaps Indians, Bangladeshis or Srilankans. Further investigation (using the chinese tactic "where are you from") we learned they were Ethiopians. But they both looked Asians. One of them had a figure worth investigating. The other was quite well fed. Not my cup of tea although, I am sure, there is a market for the well fed ones too otherwise they would not be in the market.
I still have a yen for Marina the tall blonde with a lovely body. But her asking rate and lack of accomodation keeps me away. I tried to spot the red head that Sandiegon mentioned in his post. Saw a couple of possibles. But will have to wait for Sandiegon to point her out to me. That is something worth looking forward to. Hope Sandiegon finds to time to hook up at the York with us.,

A few interesting nights recently - one in Bahrain (I know, wrong city, so sue me). Stayed there a few nights - the system there seems to be you check into a 3 or 4 star hotel, and lo and behold, the girls (who have to work in the hotel only) will be knocking on your door every couple of minutes thereafter.
I ended up having to put up the "do not disturb sign" so I could settle in and get ready for a night out. Of course I did check out a few of the ladies offering themselves to my hotel room, for future reference later in the night. Most were 5-6 range, a couple of 8s.
Later, popped down to the hotel disco to check out the scene. Much better selection, but whoa! so expensive - one girl asked for 150 Dinar (1500DH). Said she was a UAE national from Dubai. Maybe, maybe not.
Ended up giving up and went back to my room for the room service selection. Sure enough, the doorbell was busy within minutes. Eventually settled on a ST with a 6.5 Russian, for 500DH. Nice face and body, friendly enough, but tired, like most of the girls there.
A couple of nights later, went to a well-known hotel's nightclub. To cut a long story short, ended up spotting a nice CIS, but here's the deal: you have to stay in her hotel (ie pay for a room) or pay for a room in her hotel and take her to your own hotel - even if you have your own room in your own hotel. Thanks, but no thanks.
Next night, back at another club at my own hotel, along with a business associate, we started chatting up a couple of so-so Chinese - the only two in the whoe club! I really wasn't interested (and I knew I'd be back in Dubai the next day, where I could be a kid in a lolly shop again). But I enjoyed the banter. They told us they worked in a shop, and this was their part-time work. They had also worked in Dubai, in a, ahem, shop. I got the message. Again, they were asking about 1500DH. I only had to say "C'mon, I'll be back home in Dubai tomorrow", which, being cunning linguists (sorry Sporadic), they easily interpreted as "I'll pay no more than 300".
Well, tried to post this on wsg, but the the proxy bypass is very slow and staggered, so no success (like me at 3am on a Thursday night), so I'll sign off now and talk about Dubai adventures next post.

What's in a Name?
While assuming that girls will usually give their working names, not their real names I not really given it much thought. A couple of recent discussion have shown how girls use more than one name.
Piper knows a certain lady by one name and JSF and myself know her by another. Now JSF has confirmed it is the same girl from a photograph.
Bravo and I have been discussing who we think is the same girl but we have different names, then a while ago there was the Rosa/Feroza confusion.
Chinese will often "westernise" there names. This is partially to make it easier for punters. But here is an example of Afro, CIS and Chinese all doing the same thing.
I think there is also an element of protection here for the girls, both physical and emotional. It makes tracking them down harder so may give a feeling of improved physical security and at the same time it helps them detach there private lives for their "professional" lives.
I seem to recall Jane Fonda playing a working girl (Klute??) where when asked her name replied what do you want it to be. I have not come across that yet?

What's in a Name?
Why would anyone choose a psuedonym?
Me, for example, my real name is, obviously, Stephen Poradic.
Let us not forget Lloyd B. Ravo (ll bravo) or Justin Sumfunovich!

Actually, the CIS girls names tend to run about 50/50 (I have seen passports.)
Of course, for any given Russian name there are about 10 different versions available (ex. Alexandra, Sasha, Sashen'ka, Sashka, ShUra, ShUrochka.)
I suggest that keeping a little distance is probably the closest to the truth, at least in the case of the CIS.
The rest is probably down to working conditions (hard to remember a complicated, difficult to pronounce name in a loud and crowded disco.) MiMi is a lot easier to say than Ling wang kung pow tank-u-mam.

Greetings All - its been awhile since I last posted - an abscense due to work and other commitments...
Anyways decided to pop into TGIT yesterday around 2.30PM to hunt for a lunchtime playmate and was suprised to find the place relatively quiet with no real opportunities worth chasing - left 1 hour later empty handed!!
Next subject - was listening to some blokes top ten choices on the radio the other evening when it crossed my mind to what a Dubai Punters top ten might consist of i.e:
