1998 experience: not the nightlife bit but stayed at the Hotel Rossiya (huge place..bring your GPS). Security at each floor seemed tight but however the girls always know when there's a tourist staying in which room. Then it was around US$100 for a ST. Girls are like dolls. But you can also hangout at one of the coffee bars downstairs on the wing closest in terms of walking distance to the Kremlin, nice mature ones (late 30s) with huge boobs. Other than that try the Arbat area for more expensive nightclubs.
And bring your passport along! Russian police always hassle foreigners.

Try Night flight club. Some Stunners in there. FL's price around $100 $150 some more expensive. Good choice. Talk down the price if you can. I recomend before you take her to your hotel, find out if hotel is ok with a xtra guest. You might have to tip the door man in the hotel to let her in. Also while you talk about the price to the FL set a time of leaving your hotel and what she is willing to do. Lock the mini bar or it will be empty if you go to the toilet.

PS, here's a it in a nutshell: Moscow isn't cheap, but it definitely qualifies as one of top P4P destinations in the Northern hemisphere. There are fundamentally four types of venues: streets, pick-up clubs/bars/discos, private brothels and individual providers. The line between the last two is blurry, at times impossible to tell.
You can get the scoop on pick-up joints from http://www.exile.ru, in the Club Guide section, complete with ratings, addresses, phone numbers and (somewhat lame) reviews, so I wouldn't be wasting bandwidth on this, unless you have specific questions. The only thing I'll say is that Night Flight prices have gone way up since 1998 -- they all ask $300 to start, and you'll be rarely able to talk them down to $200.
The street scene is abundant at night, but difficult to deal with if you don't speak Russian -- very few, if any, girls engaged in this line of work speak English. In addition, you would need your own wheels or a reliable driver (I wouldn't do this in a cab unless you are very adventurous or know the ropes well).
Private brothels are numerous and cover a wide range of prices and quality levels; from $40 per visit to $150 per hour. There is a number of web sites dedicated to this, but they are mostly in Russian; the best is http://www.dosug.nu. It's actually pretty easy to navigate even with no command of Russian. The left frame lists provider categories, you pick one and are presented with a list with photographs. Just beware of creative Photoshop skills and don't think that all girls there are knockout beauties.
The site publichouse.ru mentioned somewhere below is another good sourse of general info, but has been known to post ads for bail-and-switch joints (you go to see one girl and are presented with someone from your nightmares instead).

I agree that http://www.exile.ru is a good resource. On my last trip I went to Shandra, a club mentionned by exile.ru. Nice setting, girls dancing erotically on dancing poles, other coming to tease you and performing lap dancing for a few roubles and a few short time rooms for further action directly in the club. I seem to remember paying 150 US$ (or was it 100 ??) for about one hour with a delightly expert young russian brunette...
Shandra is on Gazetny per., a street perpendicular to Tverskaya ul.
