From most of my experiences in Cambodia, the girls are very young and mainly just want to get the deed done and back to work as soon as possible, I visited one place in Siem Reap and out of 30+ girls there were only 1 or 2 that I wanted to do and I picked them both, the others lacked looks and personality. While in Phnom pen we had a driver take us to the "lady museum", about 15 mins. out of town, there were definitely some lookers there, but VERY young, the driver offered to find us girls with "no hair" and also "originals" (virgins for $400 USD for 1 week).

Just returned from BKK with a trip to Sieam Reap and Penom Pehn. Believe me.... BKK has it head and shoulders over anywhere in Cambodia. Although I did not feel that I needed to be concerned for my safety in Cambodia, I was a little more watchful. Also, the girls in both Sieam Reap and PP just seemed to want to get it over with. While in BKK.... well, friendlier, more patient, easier to be with... etc... I am glad I experience S/R and P/P, but the experience just convinced me that BKK is the place to be. In fact just about anywhere in Thailand.

Think you got Cambodia right by my account too.
Regarding Siemp Riep -- spent a few days there and hired a driver. His dad and uncle were killed by the Khmer Rouge after they were routed from Phnom Penh. They perished upcountry in one of the work camps -- he barely survived, but has since done o.k. for himself.
I did find a really nice girl in Siem Riep by the name of Aman. She was hanging out late night at a bar called Zanzibar. We took a moto to a little shorttime hotel about 5 minutes out of town. Not rushed, and she was genuinely saddended when I bid her adieu after we returned to the Zanzibar (she came when I ate her pussy, so I guess it was love at first lick).
I think the underage thing in Cambodia is easily avoided if you simply use some common sense about who you are S/Ting with. But you are right, Cambodia requires a higher level of keeping your big brain in gear than BKK. It is a bit more Wild West than Thailand.

Obviously we can all agree that underage prostitution is a social evil.
Beyond the moral implications however, one reservation I would have about visiting a place known for underage prostitution is that the 25 year old that I'm interested in may very well have been in the business for 10 years (or, god forbid, even longer), with all the emotional and physical damage that comes with it. I'd have to think the emotional damage would be exponentially worse for those years in the business under 17 or 18.
