Kuta has some street action and bar scene (well, at least had in 1999).
Never heard of any MP's type of thing on Bali.
Visited some brothel-like place in Sanur - strange, very strange...

Was there back in Sept 03. Kuta seemed a bit mellow although there were some girls looking for action but I thought they weren't worth looking at.
The only thing I had at Jimbaran was the sunset seafood dinner.

scene in bali is apparantly non existent anymore. at least nothing compared to the mid 90's and before! don't expect anything there. nothing compared to bantam, jakarta or surabaya!

Why would you stay in the Jimbaran area? No action there. Bali is a little lame when it comes to things like massage parlors. The action in Bali is weak overall. I always take a girl from Jakarta when I go there. If you want action, there are some decent karaoke bars you can go to. The overall sex scene in bali is not great. You'd have a better time in Jakarta.
But you can try Hard Rock Cafe late at night or double 6 really late at night in Bali. I've been to Bali over 20 times and I've never seen an upscale massage place with extra. I've been to a couple of downscale ones, but they just gave the rub and tug, no more than that.

there is a brothel in Sanur, 15m from jimbaran, hop in a taxi all the drivers know where it is.
If you are interested in freelancers there are many in seminyak /kuta. Try Dyana Pura in the evening around spy bar / space. Dyana Pura is the more upscale nightlife area. At weekends many non p4p indo chicks from around the country ripe for picking up come but still many freelancers.
Also around paddys and bounty in Kuta - Less freelancers here but this is the place for european backpackers and aussi package tourists. Also as already been pointed out there are good looking girls always hanging aroundhard rock / karma sutra in kuta
As been pointed out freelancers migrate down to double 6 club on double 6 road in seminyak / legian after midnight. Also double 6 beach good for afternoon pickups around sunset.

Batam and bali are both visa on arrival ports for western passposrt holders meaning you will be issued a visa for cash when you arrive. It's a 30 day visa which I think is still 25 bucks. Don't know about the scene though there as i've never been try using the forum search engine for info.
