There are a few places in the world where I have been that I have made no effort to pursue any P4P: India and Nepal. I do not mean that there are not beautiful women there... but that P4P for the guy that doesn't really know the place may... well, you know what I mean.
I do not know about Sri Lanka, but my guess would be that unless you are moving to live there for a long time, maybe better to exercise your arm for a week or two and wait until your next destination.

Well good news actualy,
spent a lot of time in colombo for ad-shoots and let me tell you the p4p scene there is very vibrant and happening.
There are two ways to go about it- both are sure bets. The Russian players tend to hang out at 5 star bars. Just pop in to any of the big name hotel bars around 10-12 and u cant miss them.
The second place to check is one of the casinos. They are all small little casinos with a couple of tables- nothing very exciting but you can find the Chinese and Russian women waiting over there. U dont have to bother gambling if its not your thing- no one will bother u. And dont be afraid to approach the girls- they wont make a play at you until you make the first sign.
Any cab driver will take u to a good casino- there are only a handful and all located within minutes of each other.

Thanks for the info. Don't know where I'm staying yet, it's being thrown in for free by the airline.
Hoped there might be a bit of Sri Lankan entertainment available, but that sounds like it might be a bit difficult.

I think P4P scene in Colombo is pretty decent. There are lottsa of massage parlours where local girls are available.
Thai, Chinese & Russian (et al) girls are available in the range of $100 / night to $200/night. I think Casinos are a good bet for Thai or Russians cause one has plenty of girls to choose from. As Urban Image mentioned, 5 star hotels are another place to select from but usually I have seen that there are only 3-4 of them hanging around, so not that much of a choice.
If you are looking for thai girls then I would recco Bally's Casino (popular and located quite centrally). If you are looking for thai massage with a bit of action (bbbj et al) then try Galadhari's (one of the best hotels) massage parlour on the 1st floor.
Also, must add that all the local people will be able to direct you to p4p action areas..room service / security / rickshaw drivers / cab drivers...everyone will be able to help you out with contacts.

Forgot about galadhari,
have had one session there- hardly the best looking women but the massage was fantastic. Bbbj at the end was a bit of going through the motions routine but it was an extremely relaxing overall session after a tough day. Price was way too steep- could have had a session at eden for the same but it was good overall.
My advice- if its just p4p- avoid galadhari- very overrated. Head to one of the casinos or the bars.
