Well last week I had the pleasure of entering this city with no idea of nightlife. When we arrived, we were told that alcaholic beverages were illegal to sell (no matter to me as I don't drink), but, what it does mean is no discos, no bars, and worst of all NO P4P GIRLS.
It will be alright to go to Brunei as a stopover and to experience a different country, if you stay at the Empire Hotel it will certainly make it a whole lot better.

Well, if you live there long enough you will be able to find some connections for Thai girls. 
yep, no drinks sold, however there are some "underground" bars, that do sell beers. It wasn't worth the time to party in Brunei, more fun across the border, like Miri (Sarawak) or Labuan island.

I heard about Miri when I was over there, but it is a 2 hour drive to get there, I don't know if the girls can handle a 2 hour taxi ride to get themselves some Beefa.

I was there back in 96 for a month. Everyday I'd commute from Miri (I was stationed in Kuala Belait).
