It looks like I am heading to the UK for a teaching job there. My destination: Lincoln. Is there much action going on in the UK and especially in that area?? Is it expensive? How are the adult clubs scene? We are probably heading for the LOS first but would appreciate any tips before we get to the UK.

oh you poor thing,lincoln.
i feel so sorry for you.
you will not find anything around there apart from maybe the odd streetwalker.
in england you will find nothing like adult clubs or suchlike unless you are in the know.
that part of england is a closed shop with the locals.
keep themselves to themselves and are wary of strangers.
my apologies to any people who come from there,but my experience as an outsider for a year.
get everything you want in LOS in a big way.

Got to agree with Nokna about the "outsider" thing, been to Linclonshire once and it was quite forgettable and definitely strangers stood out like a sore thumb, though people were quite friendly, if somewhat reserved.
If you're looking for an adult clubbing scene... why not pop over to Holland! The fast boat will get you here in a little over 3 hours (plane less than an hour)... and we are afterall... the adult-playground of Europe!
Whatever you find in the UK I *think* we'll have more of it and certainly in a more open environment.

oh btw with the UK pound quite strong at the moment... everything there seems more expensive than it did for me a few years ago. I used to be able to get 3.5 guilders to the pound, last time I was there (December) it was down to 2.5 guilders to the pound. I found everything very pricey. Mind you since we embraced the Euro many things have gotten more expensive here.

too right it does.
used to go to amsterdam once a year at christmas with 2 friends for a weekend and we had a blast.
one went for the pornography[no drugs or sex],one went for the drugs[no porn or sex].
i went for a little of it all and 100 guilders was then 33 pounds for a quick 20 minutes in one of the rooms[1999].
in thailand that would be the same price for 24 hours with my regular girls and a lot more fun.

"Yard smashes 'Thai vice ring'
Police were today continuing to investigate the roots of a huge Thai prostitution ring smashed following a dawn raid by detectives.
Officers arrested seven people believed to run the ring and detained 26 Thai girls suspected of working as prostitutes in raids across London, Surrey, Sussex, Essex and Middlesex.
A total of 20 search warrants were executed at dawn yesterday following a nine-month operation by Scotland Yard's Clubs and Vice Unit.
Detectives believe the women were brought into the country illegally to work as prostitutes and the conditions in which they were kept in the UK are being investigated.
Officers also raided nine brothels believed to be connected to the ring to try to round up more of those involved.
The seven Thais suspected of organising the operation - including five women - were arrested on suspicion of controlling prostitutes and living off immoral earnings and were continuing to be questioned today at a central London police station.
The 26 suspected prostitutes were also taken to a central London police station but have not been arrested.
They were being questioned by immigration officers.
Superintendent Chris Bradford of the Clubs and Vice Unit said: "We have been able to help the victims, those who have often been drawn in and trapped into vice rings.
"They have been afforded the opportunity to speak with us and receive our help to enable them to escape from those who in effect are exploiting them."
ok,i feel for the girls as organised prostitution is bad,not like the girls we know who have a choice.
but the one thing that really pisses me off.
there was one of the brothels in sussex and that's only 10 bloody minutes drive away from me.
