I plan to take my first trip to Indonesia. Which city is better Bali or Jakarta? I took my first trip to Bangkok recently and I loved it. I read that Indonesia was better. Also where can I find cheap hotels there on the internet and is there a web page like bangkoktonight for Indonesia?

If you want P4P certainly Jakarta but if your going for a Beach Holiday Bali! Try Asia-Hotels.com for Hotels, most are guest friendly but be warned, Jakarta is not Bangkok and you have to be a little more careful in places such as Blok M etc..

I don't recommend Jakarta for newbies. I think it's a little more difficult and there's not a lot to do there except go there for the women. That may sound great but there's not a lot to do during the day. Bangok and Thailand have more to offer in terms of entertainment and of course the women. I think you might want to get some more whiskers before going to Jakarta. If you are set on it, I would probably do a dual country trip like Thailand and then buy tickets to Jakarta from there. Thailand is a lot easier to do and will help build your experience level. It's kind of hard to explain.
