Well....there is a joint in town with a bar out front and a large karaoke type place behind. Its a big hall, was filled with locals and me and my mate the night we went in. He sang, I was too shy. Lots of pretty girls JMHO.

Ask a taxi driver. I got taken to a little place on the edge of town - about 1km back from the river next to a roundabout. Inside were 2-3 Laos guys drinking beers and two girls of about a 5-6 standard. Beers for guys and the taxi driver. Beer and bonk for me. It was average but kind of "close to the people" if you see what I mean. Whacky backy was on offer as well but I don't partake.

Just be very careful for P4P in Lao, same as Thailand.... forbidden. But as we know in LOS it does happen and nobody really bats an eyelid.
In Lao, you get caught sleeping etc with a local and she is not your wife, it can cost you a lot of money and imprisonment. Stay away from Govt. hotels, they will put you in also.

About a year ago I was in Luang Prabang and stayed at the Heritage Guest House. It's a small family guest house and costs about 10 dollar a night. At night the desk is run by a 20 y/o guy. I started to talk with him about girls and he said he could arrange something for me. I knew that is not allowed for foreigners to have sex with Lao girls, so I declined.
Next night there was a knock on my door and it was the guy from the front desk with two girls. The girls were in their twenties and one of them was actually very pretty. Price was 20 dollars (ST for one). I did manage to say that I was not interested and with a friendly smile I closed the door again.
