A BTF bro asked me about girls in Africa and my answer developed into a full blown essay about mongering options in Africa so I decided to post it here…
Africa! Great idea! To be honest I often planned but never made it myself. I only had a 2 yrs. thing with this gorgeous Nigerian BG working in Switzerland. But I read a lot about travelling and mongering in Africa… So: knowledgably? Yes, in a way…
West Africa
The biggest difference between east and west is probably the security aspect. West African countries like Nigeria are quite dangerous and full of scammers and permanent hassle and I would never go there although the sample of Nigerian girls working in Europe (mainly Italy) is very promising. The situation seems much better in Ghana and also Cameroon, but these are mainly French speaking countries which doesn’t exactly add to the mongering options (for non-french sp.) … Needless to say: mongering is dirt cheap there.
Another north-west option but different in a way can be Morocco. An Islamic but nevertheless quite relaxed country (limited alcohol options though) which I travelled with wifey, so… But I read some interesting reports about playful girls in Moroccan discos and Marrakesh was amongst the most interesting places I have ever visited. If mongering is only a side order and travelling is the main thing this might be an option too.
East Africa
Things are different in East Africa. The probably best or at least most easy option is surely Kenya. Prostitution is widespread in Nairobi (dangerous again) and the Mombasa/coast region with some very popular and infamous pick up joints (Tembo Disco) with hundreds of girls every night. With Uganda I’m not so sure about security and mongering options I have to say…
Another thing are the north-east African countries. These girls are known to be amongst the most beautiful women of all. Half of the worlds black models are from that region or have their genetic roots there. Sudan seems to be a security problem again but Ethiopia is an interesting option and the capital Addis Ababa does have bars and discos and such… Thing is that in all reports there’s a tone that Ethiopian girls are not that easy… They are more proud etc. no easy catch… Nah, not for a guy like you!
South Africa
…is a complete different situation since this is a more or less “western” country. The big cities have their fare share of western nightlife with all it’s usual options. Not sooo very different from Europe, US etc… Black girls, white girls, discos, bars, brothels, steep prices, security concerns, the whole program…
Africa In general
I guess black girls aren’t comparable with TGs at all. They (at least the pro’s) are more pushy and not so softly and willing and skilled in pleasing a man and his various needs. Known for being reluctant with BJ, more so with BBBJ and such. Clueless with all the various features of a happy sex life. It’s more ‘obedient’ what they are at best…
On the other hand they can have incredibly beautiful bodies and are quite passionate lovemakers in their own way… The climax of my Nigerian firecracker was like a hotel’s fire alarm and caused quite some trouble in that department… Many experts also say that all over Africa, up to the Islam/Sharia border there’s not so much ado about sex in general as in our Western countries and they just take it as an easy fun option… Which brings me to one more thing: For both east and west all reports confirm that prostitution is not the only option. With a little bit of patience and attitude you can easily get closer (yes, I mean freebies) with non-pro girls (clerks, whatever…) who are all more than happy to find a white man (mzungu?) as friend/lover. Might be less so in the popular tourist spots in Kenya because of the more obvious sex tourism situation here, bit like in BKK… Not much innocence left over… But then again: innocence is a renewable energy... 
The WSG Forum (www.WorldSexGuide.com and http://www.WorldSexGuide.org) is a good source of detailed information about mongering in Africa. Unfortunately I have no detail level tips (hotel etc.) myself… My first trial run would definitely be Kenya… or maybe Ghana???

Mick,are you not overlooking the small matter of AIDS which,at least in southern African states,affects up to 25% of the general population and,almost certainly a far higher percentage of sex workers.
I realise that condoms can be used,but they are not 100% reliable(what is).
In Thailand probably only a very small percentage of sex workers have AIDS so the risk is acceptable,and IS accepted by tens of thousands of men visiting LOS.
I just do not think the same can be said for most of central and southern Africa where infection rates are so much higher.

Valetta, I fully agree, but didn't overlook it, I just didn't mention it because I see these things as common sense.
But a 'black and white' rating for Africa vs. Thailand not only fails in color (errr, black and light brown that is) but also in the necessary concerns about safety in Thailand...
Nevertheles I agree: The soft rules of a low profile risk management resulting in BBBJ and such are much more comfortable with a lower overall infection rate... In Africa I would definitely be much more careful than I am in LOS...
Would I go mongering in Africa? Yes! Would I go for BBBJ over there? Hmmm.... dunno...

Mick,I do not want to unduly circumscribe your mongering activities but,since you have raised the issue of "safety",I suggest that Thailand is safer in just about every way compared to most parts of Africa.
South Africa has one of the highest murder rates in the world.Violent crime involving robbery and car jacking is widespread,and the authorities seem powerless to control it.
That it not to say that LOS is crime free.It is obviously not,but in most instances crime in Thailand,at least in so far as it affects foreigners,does not involve physical violence.You are far more likely to lose your money on the street at the hands of a pickpocket,than a mugger.
Generally speaking,I think it can be said that in most parts of central and southern Africa,when it comes to crime,violence is pretty much a first resort,whereas in LOS criminals try and avoid violence.No doubt it is a reflection of the avoidance of confrontation in Thai culture.
In addition to crime tending to be much more violent there seems to be a lot more of it in most parts of Africa than in LOS,especially where foreigners are concerned.
Also I have the impression that foreigners,especially white foreigners,seem to be less welcome in many parts of Africa than in Thailand.Although not providing proof of my impression the fact that about 13 million tourists visit Thailand each year suggest that,generally, there is widespread confidence that Thailand is a safe and pleasant place to visit.

I was just browsing this very old thread about mongering in Africa and in one of the posts, Ghana (West Africa) is described as a french speaking country and hence not very suitable for the non french speaking mongerers.
This is totally not correct. Ghana was an English colony till 1957 and is totally English speaking. I was a resident for a few years many years ago and have very pleasant memories of the country. I am not familiar with the mongering scene in Ghana but there should be no handicap for English speaking mongerers, in anything it should be major advantage.
