Has anyone else noticed that a lot of the bars in bangkok are out of Carlsberg ?
I notice supermarkets are also either out or very low.
I know there was a recent RT which probably accounts for 90% of the shortage, but any clues on any other reasons ?

BeerThai, the company that had the license to brew Carlsberg in Thailand, got into a dispute a few months ago with the parent company in Denmark. About a month ago, Carlsberg production in Thailand stopped. Places selling draft carlsberg (GT, for example) ran out of that a couple of weeks ago. And it seems that the bottled stuff is starting to run low as well.
I can't figure out how it can be good business for Mr. Thai Beer Tycoon to not settle this dispute asap.

carlsberg is out indefinitely I think. for reasons mr. set leaw pointed out. they violated the licensing agreement. san miguel philippines wil be the substitute. I think they took over the brewing premises already.
I like PI SMB.
