Wasnt there a huge underground (literally) casino in Bkk cbd that got busted a couple of weeks ago? I think I glimpsed an article about some major raid on the front page of the Bkk Post.
That demonstrates their illegality. Cambodia would be your best bet...

The rumour mill routinely tells us that a casino complex will be developed around Pattaya way........one day.
If there was suddenly a crack down on illegal places, it would add credence to such a rumour FWIW.

That rumor has been circulating for years. I have heard the new casino will be approved to be built off of Siam Country Club Road or The Ambassador Hotel Complex or somewhere off of Sukhumvit towards Chonburi.
None of them have happened and are unlikely to occur as long as the current political posture is in place.
Maybe new pm, new ideas.
