anyone know where I can get a fake passport or fake ID? I dont plan to be crossing any borders with it, but just want it for a local ID for hotel check in

yeah, I am nuts. but I dont want it to use with immigration. I have some ID aleady, but the ID isnt in my name, so I need to get some ID to match my exisitning ID

actually you don't seem to risk much if caught with a fake foreign ID, but a fake stamp from thai imigration inside that ID could take you to jail. I would definetely avoid that. A wild guess is you won't find the dodgy ID in Lotus, but in Bangkok it shouldn't be much harder than that.
