If a farang visits a Thai bar,shouts obscenities at the barman,repeatedly bangs his fist on the bar,and generally behaves in a threatening manner he can expect to receive rough treatment.
Here the farang was struck with what looks like a pool queue only once causing him to collapse to the floor after which he suffered no further punishment.
Really in all the circumstances he got off comparatively lightly.In a similar situation the boot could have been put in,and the man severely injured.
Even in a Thai bar not normally visited by foreigners polite,respectful behaviour normally gets a similar response from the Thai patrons.

Looking at the film a second time it would appear that the farang was punched in the face,rather than being hit with a pool queue,and then as he staggered backwards,kicked in the balls or stomach,after which he collapsed to the floor.
Nevertheless I adhere to the opinions I expressed above.

I watched it two times and it appears he took it right in the throat...which is a leveling point...
I have never been in a fight in my life but know the throat and knee are where to start......
