The topic title says it all... it's now 5 days since I am back from BKK and I feel like a drug addict on cold turkey. After all, in 2002 was my first (yeah, virgin) contact to BKK in April, but I was 4 times (each 10 days) over there this year, business and also some sanook, honestly, at the beginning more business and now more sanook... 
Conclusion after these trips: I'm a total TG addict. This whole thing makes me crazy... ok, I can seat here, watch some pics I made in BKK, ramp up the heater to come into the 30°C range, but in every free minute I'm thinking about my last visit.
This can't be healthy... year of first contact but my mind already blown away. In some clear moments I'm thinking about the future and how to live with that, how this influences my life. I really behave like a drug addict. Incredible.
How do you guys get along with the "TG addiction" and its symptoms?

But on a less supercilious note:
I think this forum is a great help, though not necessarily an antidote. The responses I get from from other bro's and sis' here keep me on an even keel during the dark hours when I am away from BKK. Since I have a lady there waiting for me, it isn't easy, especially the first few days after I return home (like right now). Of course, the irony is, all the great stories on the forum eventually have you shipping out with a plane ticket and a load of Baht in your hand, back to the land of sanuuk.

I felt the same way when i got back... I wanted nothing more than to go back.... if life were perfect, i would find a job that would send me a couple times a year... but we know how that goes....
so to fix my addiction, i am saving, finishing my MBA, then taking off for a long holiday when I am done... see you in jan2004

well I guess we all get an addiction to LOS! as for me definetly addicted. this year was there in feb,jun/jul,oct, and again in dec. I do average 4 trips a year and for me that is not enough. before I leave LOS each time I am planning my next trip. plan to be there end of jan or feb.

Save up your money and retire here. Retirement can be done with as little as $300 k US, in my opinion to live off interest (not including housing/auto expenses).

It's never easy to return home after a trip to LOS.I get to go once a year and really for me that is not enough.It's strange because many of my friends ask me why I don't go to visit another country but they don't really understand.
I really consider that if England is my home country then Thailand is a very close second country.I feel so at home there and have often thought about living there but am afraid of taking that final push.

Good idea, but with 31 the idea of retirement is beyond my "event horizon"... work is still giving me fun. And for retiring with an age below 40 I think 300k $ are not enough... even not for TH.
