I remember shopping at Pratunam for clothes..........the place was a maze! ÝEven worse, the place was enormous! ÝStacks and stacks of clothes everywhere! ÝCorridors were very thin.....so thin that only 1 person can fit through. ÝYou could get lost easily and it might take you a while to get out.
My question is: If there was ever a fire inside Pratunam,
1. ÝHow will everyone get out since there are hardly any fire exits?
2. ÝWhy didn't I see any fire hoses or extinguishers?
3. ÝHow will the fire crews get to the fire in such narrow corridors?
4. ÝHow will everyone find their way out on time?

Do you worry as much when you cross the road. More importantly you should be concerned with the SARS molecules being flown about the market from all the chinese and recent chinese clothes importers/exporters and then second in line to that is the concern of the farang transexuals hiding in the rear stalls trying on their sequen dresses in supposed privacy.
But really, don't worry about the fire brigade attending a fire here, because by the time they get through the traffic the place will be ashes.

I used to be a safety co-ordinator at my workplace. I notice hazards such as the ones I mentioned in my last post very easily.

...had this thought cross my mind many times!!
the worst was my stay at the Dynasty Inn, stayed on the 4th floor and it seemed there wasnt any stairways or emergency exits on this level at all!! the only access to the lobby and other floors is the lift and thats all!!
btw....when was the last time u saw a fireman or fire engine in LOS?? i've yet to see one.....
