Hello
Does any of the Brotherhood members know this man?
I just found an article about him in a French Buddhist newspaper and it seem EXTREMELY interesting (at least to me)
Apparently this man is teaching some sort of invulnerability techniques that he learned from a forest monk...look serious to me(the man is over 80 years old, he is also healing peoples with a secret preparation made of purified quicksilver!)

Well, "quicksilver" is Mercury, an element, not a compound; in other words it is really already "pure".
It is also fatally poisonous, so if the rest of this guys' portfolio of mysteries is anything similar he would seem to be just another fraud; hundreds of them in Thailand, and sadly many are "Monks" taking advantage of their positions and peoples' gullibility.

yes, i know there is amny frauds about such things...thats why i am asking before to go just in case a member has eared about him...
About Mercury/quicksliver, i know its basically poison, but for example the Tibetan doctors are making some sort of pills with it and it is VERY efficient , there is a way of "de-toxifying" it somehow, and maybe the Colonel Chom knows it too (i m sure taht what the Tibetan does is NOT a scam because i spent some time with them and saw the complete process once)

madfrog, did you stay around long enough to see the patients/victims dying of mercury poisoning months or years later? Whatever the short-term benefits in aiding another condition might be, the long term effects are worse.
You DO NOT, EVER, want to ingest any metal in significant quantities. All the trace elements your body can handle are found in about the correct proportions in the human diet. You can kill yourself by overdosing on mineral supplements in just a few months and zinc, chromium, etc. aren't nearly as reactive or debilitating as mercury.
