Ok guys, I'm trying to figure out a name of a certain University & need some help in a hurry, why ? Kind of personal, hope you guys understand.
This is what I have...( ??? ssumption Uni ), now, I think I got most of the letters correct, but there are more letters in front of the word, how many ? I don't know. Here are some info...it's in BKK, it's an International Uni, & on the main entrance is a life size buddah, also the Uni building is almost completely white.
Any info would be appreciated ! Thanks !

Asian Man ,
The Assumption University is a Christian run University and for those who wish to pursue studies in English it is about the best you can get in Thailand .
They have a campus near RamKhameng College and about a year or so ago they opened their new residential campus at Bangna .
As regards how respected it is - all I can tell you is that they have affiliations with a number of Universities in the U.S. , Australia , etc. Also most well educated Thais would have studied there .

Funny you should mention this as a girl who chatted me up on ICQ also studied there, but just like you I had never heard of the place so ran a thread over at nanaplaza & learned it's a very respected one with all courses run in english & apparently the great looking babes there even mine is pretty average though better in person than her graduation photos

Oh by the way you can even check her degree/enroolment history out on their web if you got her full name & it even lists their email etc

In Thailand, ABAC is known as the place to go if you can't get into a gov't university. ÝIt ranks generally below most other unis, except, of course Ramkhamhaeng...
My 'little sister' (Thai usage) graduated from ABAC, couldn't score high enough on the TOEFL to enter a California state uni, and eventually got her MBA at University of LaVerne (and Shirley), in LA.
She still can't write a decent English sentence, or find her way out of a paper bag. ÝCurrently, she aspires to work at a Coldstone Ice Cream store, a step UP from waitress at a Thai restaurant.
So much for the MBA program at LaVerne...
ABAC would make a good choice, however, for farangs wanting to go back and get their BA while in Thailand.

Ihave several farang friends who studied at ABAC.
Also a girl who I work with is an ABAC graduate, and I could listen to her talk all day...just wonderful use of the English language with a heavy accent....SEEEEXXXXYYYY!!!
As HS said...not the finest in Thailand, for those read Chula and Thammasat of the biggiest, but it is expensive so you get to go there if you are rich and nearly clever and good at English.
