Griffin and Dave have my number as far as clothes go. I'm a yank, who is a "cheap charlie". In Asia I'v run accross alot of guys from the UK, Oz and the US that ware shorts and shirt. So far this has not stopped the girls from comming over and saying "hello". As a "cheap Charlie" (I was called this 30 years ago when I was in Vietnam) I pay the girls a fair price and treat them with respect.

Well down here on Phuket we are a lot more relaxed (one reason why I love it)... I wore a suit to make my money and now I am a shorts and T's man and damn the consequences... I do sometimes sport my rolex but basically I simply love the watch and dont consider it a status thing...
Eg tonight I have a dinner date with a non P4P photo model who I have been chasing hard for a few days... Even though I would love to snag her and will take her to one of the best resturants on the island I am still going in my oakley thong sandals and shorts and a shirt... thats me, take me as I am !!!

If uu intend to go fishing in Night Clubs better be looking good coz the locals expats would be looking good.
Last, Short and T shirt should not be allow off the Beach !!
There should be a law actually for this

Okay. Back to the original question.
IMO:
I think it's fine to wear shorts around. Depends on the person and personality.
Besides, it's not like the bg's dress that nicely anyways. What?? Jeans and a t-shirt?? ha ha ha!!
For me, if I'm going to a go go bar, mp, or beer garden, then I think that shorts are fine no matter what time of the day. Never had any issues or problems with wearin' them before, which includes negative comments from the tg's or managers.
G-clubs, nice restaurants are a different story though. I'd be dressin' in long pants and a pull-over shirt at the very least.
heck. Even when I go shopping at Emporuim or Discovery, I could be in shorts which still have not problem scorin' some digits from the local females.
Of course, I'm not wearin' shorts like my dad wears, but cool, hip type lookin' ones!! ha ha ha!!

Naw. What should be outlawed are the people that wear shorts with black socks, or white socks pulled up, and a white t-shirt or some ugly assf tropical print and is better suited as some grandmothers curtains!! ha ha ha!!

i have a lot of yellow stuff around my neck and finger beucase I always had and I can tell you now 100 % the girls go for it. I would not have met some stunners if it was not for my gold. Please remeber that in north Thailand the more gold you have the more and power u have and u should show it ALOT. For clothing I wold say nice and clean. I mean if you go to a go go bar the girl could not care less what you were but clubbing and upperclass girls they know what you are beucase of what you were.
