I am using a siam-international. Got the name from thaivisa.com. I think my cost was $869 which includes a 100% money back guarantee. I chose this company for a couple of reasons. They have offices in the U.S. and in Bangkok and the 100% money back guarantee. The attorneys I'm dealing with mainly are Thai and they communicate everything effortlessly with my fiance and will help her prepare for the interview. I hate doing all the paperwork and making sure everything is in order. Much easier to have someone who does this on a daily basis deal with that for me. So far they have been spot on and have handled everything in a professional and timely manner. Even gave me the correct I-134 form by email and made sure I printed front and back instead of two pages. They have a 100% success rate. PM me if you'd like and I can give you the number for the American owner or one of the Thai staff in Bangkok. I have met the owner and the several of the staff in Bangkok. LS

Before I even started the process he was taking pictures of me and the tgf with different "thai" things in the background. When I started the process I had to provide pictures of us in as many specific places around the Kingdom as possible. I think I had 16 pictures taken around Thailand, always with some sign in the background showing all the places we had travelled. Also, date stamp your pics when they are taken. Call her! You will need records of communication including emails, cards...etc. It's an easy process if you do your work. Also, get her a passport now as she will need that as well. LS

Right Guys.. pic's upcountry with the Family go down well also - it is a type of ploy to delay an visa's, in the hope that if you are both not 100% keen, one or the other may get tired of waiting - as to the 100% success rates the companies advertise,... well, thats usually bevcause they dont take on 'No hopes'. Povided the TG has her family papers in order, has not committed any crimes, by and large you will eventually get the visa granted, but be prepared, it can take 12 months !

For anybody living on the West Coast, it will take at least 12 months for fiancee visa and that's with no rejects along the way!

Quote: from KiNHoY on 4:07 am on Aug. 12, 2005 Thanks for all the good advice. I know I can complete the paperwork on my end without problem. I may not be able to schedule a trip when she has to complete her end, so I'm worried about her ability to get it done on her own.
Forget about that idea. What I did was get a list of all the requirements on the Thai end and then went over there and prepared it with my then fiancee. Then when the paperwork package comes from the Embassy you can chuck most of it. I agree with everyone here in that "you" being there is the most important thing, both for her and the Embassy. The price above of $869 seems resonable for some help, plus you will need to get some translation done anyhow, but one begins to wonder why "69" in the price, probably the result of some hound dogs.

I'm pulling this from memory and most likely it was $899. For some reason the $869 sticks in my mind and I'm lazy or I could check the credit card statement. I just liked that a Thai person could call and talk to her without me trying to explain what she needed and when and photo requirements...blah, blah, blah. Something I also liked was that the attorney I spoke with said they would let me know how the first conversation went and whether she was geniunely interested in the Visa or if it was a money thing. He offered this as I did not ask. Said they were representing me and as my attorney it was their job to make sure she was serious about the process. They also can give you a fairly close date for the interview process since they know a few people in the embassy. This can make travel over for the all important Q&A session not such a last minute thing. Another thing I did was take her to the U.S. Embassy on my last visit so she knew how to get in and we walked to the area where applicants wait for the intv. So, hopefully her comfort level is a bit higher just in case I can't make the trip. LS

A choice involving many factors. I really recommend going to the embassy site (http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/services/visa/n_immigrantF.htm) downloading the files in English and Thai. Let her get the required family/legal documents together and translated. Don't use the translation services near embassy - EXPENSIVE. I used a small office in Pattaya and it saved me hundreds in translation fees. Have her fax or scan/email the forms to you, you complete them, and Fedex back to her (with additional copy). The medical stuff is done in bangkok. I have the name and number of the approved female doc we used. It was an easy experience for my wife. Most importantly, be there for the interview. She will be waiting with a hundred other people and all the horror stories her "friends" have told her will be running rampant in her mind. Be there, calm her, and you both will smile at how easy ti was afterwards. -john

Oh yeah, I have the packet 3 and 4 docs that she would get from the embassy. Do them early and save time. I will email if you want.

Last Survivior, I did contact Siam Globabl Assoc and the cost is quit a bit more, at 80,000 baht or about US $2,000. This seems overly expensive. I wish it were $899, as you said! How long ago did you use their services?

Using them now. I think you may have the wrong company. The company I'm using is Siam-International Legal Group and not Siam-Global. Here's the link to their website: http://www.siam-legal.com/usvisak1.html Price for the K-1 fiance visa is $895 (gold pkg with money back guarantee). There are other options and certainly give them a call if you have questions. Dennis is the American I spoke with when I signed up. This is for services only and you will have some costs. For example the $165 application fee, photos....but overall a GREAT price imho. LS
