My impression is that EVERY man who spends a certain amount of time in LOS will sooner or later fall in love with a TG in one way or another. And that's the good news. Been coming to BKK for 15+ years, not particularly an avid consumer of the Nana/Cowboy types, but never immune to the charms of Thai women, and certainly had my fair amount of fantastic encounters with primarily FLs. And after all this time of detached-yet-caring relationships of varying intensity with more than a few (...), I have fallen for a young 'un that has managed to awaken what I thought were now-dead or cynically-tainted instincts/feelings/passions/wishes to please (and be pleased as well, of course!). Met through BTF (thanks!), she's not a pro but not a saint either; she's intelligent, sexy, tasty (!!), funny, funky, witty, independent, and delightfully honest (on matters of the pockets as much as of the... "self" ) - though I entertain no fantasy whatsoever that she still maintains her healthy and fair share of "secrets" and her own "secret garden" to which I have no access, and that is fine with me.
So yes, I too have fallen and come to the realisation that I am, after all, human! But no mea culpa, only delight. No wire transfers, but many longing hours until I return. And how will all of this end? Of course, as in all such cases, "in tears and a long journey"!

I make a great distinction, being informed, and realistic is very different from being "hardened" (sorry) or callous.
We had a great time, the bs was just not needed in my case, I was more than happy with the available sanook. I treat every WG, in every country like the human beings that they are. Always.
The macho "look what I did!" types make me shake my head. I was just curious how anyone with sufficient research could fall into an obvious, if seductive trap.

Abrak ( a senior member we don't see much of now) and I didn't always see things the same way but he did make some thought provoking posts and I miss his input now even if I might not agree with it - the quote above was in relation to how too much P4P can "kill" your ability to have feelings about anything that still have any depth to them. Not callous - just incapable of emotion.
Since you can still see and treat all WGs as people I don't think you are in that category.
I share your amazement that with so much information available so many guys still seem to get conned so easily by so many BGs. If I am hardened then it is most evident in the way my eyes glaze over when I hear from some guy about the lovely girl he met on the bus to Pattaya or at a bar in Phuket, and how she was just there on holiday or visiting a friend and never worked as a BG and they are never suspicious why her English that she only learnt in primary school is really good, or why she has a passport already or has a 10,000 baht mobile phone or already lives in her own room not a hotel, or that she can give you directions to every hotel in town and knows things like what times the ferry leaves for the islands, etc etc.

Goodness knows, I still get entangled with WG´s (at the very least as friends) but I feel just as bad for the delusional as I do for the emotionally dead.
There are several amoral bestards that run around my usual stomping grounds (and I presume BKK is the same) and at the end of the day, they engender more pity from me than the lovestruck delusionals.
I guess any place is what you make of it.
