69. TG's for free. Find your favorite TG porn site and have a wank at home. Not only do you save BF, ST fee's and ST hotel charges, but also the cost of an air ticket. Of course keyboard replacements will be an added expense.
70. Oh the woes to be an English teacher. Check into the best 5-Star hotel in Pattaya, drink everything from the mini bar then jump off the balcony. Make sure you affix a plastic bag over your head with a wire tie first, so that you will leave an impression that it was a result of a Russian mafia drug deal gone bad.
71. Buy your clothes at one of those year-round costume places especially right after Halloween. Not only can you get a good deal but you could be the first to set a new fashion trend. I heard the 3 musketeers is becoming in vogue.
72. Make sure you find out every bar that is having an anniversary, birthday or any other event that has free food and a Pig on a spit. You my as well eat the Pig that you are.
and the best for last.
73. Make sure you show up to Toxic for the RT on Friday nights for free drinks. If you walk from the skytrain Asoke entrance it should take you about 15-20 minutes. So time you schedule that you arrive at the Asoke station at 9:40. You want to make sure that you are parched when you get there so you can drink as much as you can from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM. At 11:00 PM you can take the free Toxic Tuk Tuk to Soi Cowboy.

I also am not a fan of (black-hearted) tuk-tuk drivers at all, but your statement is not 100 % accurate.
I hardly ever use tuk-tuks, but have learned how to.
I always find out from Thai friends what the going rate is to get from A to B. (And yes, they do not always know.) I'll ask the tuk-tuk driver in Thai "It is XX Baht to get to X, isn't it?", and they usually agree. Other thing I've done: went from A to B knowing the price, and paid the appropriate sum when we arrived - they knew that I knew, and never complained it wasn't enough.
On the short journeys I use tuk-tuks for every now and then, it always works out cheaper than a taxi or motorbike taxi.
I have never had a tuk-tuk driver rip me off, and never have they tried to take me to some shop or temple or taken a wrong way to the destination.
An old tuk-tuk driver once said "It's 40 to get there, not 30", I knew it was 30, so eventually he agreed to take me for 30. On the way he said "You're right it's 30 baht, but for Thai, not for farang". I replied "But, I live here, and I have no money, I am a poor farang!" He couldn't stop laughing.
Good heavens, I can't believe it: I'm defending tuk-tuk drivers... What's wrong with me?

My hat is off to you for your special tuktuk charms, however I believe they are the exception, not the rule.
My many experiences are that:
* Motocys will take you a kilometer or two for 20 baht generally and as low as 10 baht,
* Taxis will take you several kilometers for minimum meter charge of 35 baht,
* While tuktuks in the past year or so are fixed/controlled/universally agreed to a minimum 40 baht, even for a distance of a couple hundred meters.
And it is not Thai motocy drivers that are the maimers/killers - they are mostly pretty safe - it is farang motorcycle drivers, past their motorcycle Drive-by-Date (moi included?), who account for the greatest number of farang hospitalized accident cases (not necessarily fatalities) in the Kingdom.
While Pattaya/Jomtiem is probably the 'Farang-Bungee-Jump-Without-Bungee-Capital-of-the-World' - by far.

I seriously, seriously doubt that....
Hell, in 80% of the country you can't even find a motocy taxi if you want to.
I'd say balcony diving is far more lethal and common than death by motocy.

11 pm is a good time. I left the airport just about the same time, back in December, and the taxi just took me to Sukhumvit, bypassing the Expressway, and the meter only showed 177 B when I arrived at my destination. I didn't have to pay any surcharge since I hailed the cab on the departure level.

According to statistics motorcycles do kill more foreigners than any other 'way' in Thailand. However, those foreigners were driving themselves.
87. Go to a thrift store in the states and as you are there look at all the crap people bring back from where ever, and end up giving away. Everything ends up at the thrift store. So don't buy a bunch of crap in Thailand. By the way, cloths are much cheaper at a US thrift store than any where in Thailand, and you can find good stuff.
88. Pay attention to what things costs. I like tuk tuks as much as the next guy, but if I know the taxi fair from China town to MBK but can't find a taxi, I know price to offer a tuk tuk if thats the only option.
89. The best eating bargin, is Thai food. Skip the foreign stuff eat Thai. Save money eat on the street some of the best stuff there is. The best Sizzler I have ever been to was in Thailand. The worst food I have ever had in Thailand was Sizzlers.
90. If any conversation with a Thai starts with "my friend", just walk away.
91. Don't hand out money to anyone just to try to impress a thai chick, nothing to cute kids, no big huge tips for no reason, nothing.
There is lots of good info in these various lists. Sure everything can be nit picked, but for someone that is new to Thailand, or maybe stupid, this is a good thing to learn from.
