I had a blast for my first songkran...it was an amazing experience being a fresh faced newbie.... soi cowboy & then over to Ko Sahn road in the back of a truck with a huge trash can full of water drinking beer at like noon..
I would say that the year I spent it up in Phitzanulok was the best...as I was pretty much the only farang and had a big target on my head....but it was fun and as romeland said it was more family oriented...
but it lost its luster year after year and after discussion with the miss decided to schedule the vacation this year when it was finished.....just dont want to deal with it on my vacation...
have fun though...its like Mardi Gras in New Orleans..you should check it out at least once...
