I didn't say that the culture inhibits normal sex -- plenty of people (obviously) in our cultures are HAVING sex.
First of all, listing examples from nearly half a century ago is rather silly, as mores and cultures have changed quite a bit since then, particularly in the USA - which has not only gotten significantly more conservative, but current male culture is also the result of a neutering campaign by the feminist demographic for the past 10-15 years.
Of course people are still having sex; of course misogyny still exists; of course people on vacation tend to let go of their inhibitions (ever seen 'Girls Go WIld' videos?) - I didn't say that any of that sort is being inhibited.
I was referring, quite clearly, I thought, to the cultural dogma we, the West, attach to the sexual act, as a culture. We commonly, and publicly, disguise it as a 'special' act,only reserved for the 'special' person, deemed worthy of our 'love'.
While most of us (I hope) consider that to be a crock of shit, there are plenty of folks that buy into it hook, line and sinker - mostly girls (dreaming of the perfect white knights), but also the kind of neutered, emotionally immature milquetoast that I was referring to.

To the best of my knowledge sex is for a significant number of Thai people just another bodily function, at level with drinking water, eating or sleeping. After 2000 years of Christian socialisation for most of the western people sex is indeed something special and definitely not at level with sleeping, eating or having a shower.
This does possibly not refer to all and everyone - I cannot talk about the lower echelons of society - but at least for the higher educated people my limited personal experience reflects that sex is indeed something special and ‘giving it’ has so much meaning. Connotations in the western world are mainly trust, confidence, reproduction and to a much lesser extent fun, recreation or sanuuk as in Thailand.
While waking up one morning I noticed that my TGF Supha took advantage of my morning glory. She decided that this would be more fun and more appropriate then getting breakfast or drinking coffee or whatever. This would have NEVER happened with a white chick, irrespective of nationality, age or social layer. The prevailing attitude of way too many white chicks is that only rainy Sunday afternoon with soft music and candlelight are appropriate for thinking about sex.

Man it must suck to be in the upper echelon of western society. Back before leaving the land of the big white whale for a different life here in the land of the LBFM I would pretty regularly get my morning wood jumped upon by the GF of the moment. Did not seem to matter too much as to age of said GF or my geographical location in the land of the white whale. It was a pretty regular occurrence in me college days thru my days just prior to departing for Asia.
The last white bird to jump my morning wood on a regular basis was Catholic lady – even being raised in a regularly practicing Catholic family and doing the whole Catholic school thing the bird still thought nothing of perching herself upon my morning wood nearly every morning – even the morning she took me to the airport as I departed for Asia.

Back to the subject of this poor SAP! The mind of this guy is very distorted--American women are getting fatter by the day. My patient this am was 300 lbs and was married to a guy who was similar to the guy in the story.
This guy goes to LOS after realizing this is the best he can get. All of a sudden this poor sap finds--at best a 5/10--and is thin and will sleep with him. Jackpot!!!
Her--got a live one--she played it very well. There is a sort of despiration here in the US of ever finding a thin lady. It is unbelivable the amount of fat chicks who are married here in the US.
It is this distorted despiration that can trap a non well traveled average intelligent American male to fall into this type of situation. Obviously this poor sap has not learned anything. There are many more like him but do not write amusing yet pathetic websites.
I look at many of the fat nurses in my hospital who are married and just shake my head in disbelief. There are many men like this in the US--one trip to LOS and so the story continues.
Thank god I am a handsome man--that's what the lady on Soi 6 says--its got to be ture.
This guy is at this time helpless and hopeless!!!
