A bit of innuendo in that comment I'd say.
I wonder how it worked on me. I never stepped foot in Thailand - let alone the bars in BKK or Patters until about five years ago, but for some strange reason I have always favored dark skin tones. Be they European, South/Central American, or Asain, I like them on the dark side of things. The only exception being Africans - I like light skin tones on most of them.
The porcelin doll look that seems so preferable to most Asians has a lot to be desired IMHO.
Not that I judge only on skin tone, my current regular is about five shades lighter than I like'm, but she makes up for it in oh so many other ways.
