Sounds about right. The one stop trips on BTS hardly save you any time, but sometimes the A/C is worth it. 50 Baht for a tuk-tuk on this trip is overpaying. You should be able to get an aircon metered taxi for 35B, maybe round up to 40B for a tip. Yeah, it's small change, I know.

Ok, thanks guys. The reason why I want to walk is because getting to each destination is going to be half the enjoyment. In that I mean I will be taking my time to check the place out. I now know that I could walk to most places along Sukhumvit. 1 more question, I'm staying at the Regency Park Hotel. Can anyone tell me how far this hotel is down Soi 12/3*. How far is this Hotel from Soi Cowboy or Nana Plaza? *12/3 Sukhumvit 22, Soi Sainamthip Bangkok, 10110 Thailand. This is the address. Am I reading it right with it being in Soi 12/3? Regards, Daniel

That's on Soi 22 right across from Washington Square. B-52 is a pool bar in the front, decent place to hang out. It's about 50-100 meters from the hotel to the front of Sukhumvit. One of my faves, Flyers is at the front of the Soi. It's a medium walk to Soi Cowboy, a pretty good piece from Nana Plaza, but doable if you like to walk (I would take a cab). It's about 35-40 baht cab ride to Nana. It's actually a bit trickier to take a cab from there to Soi Cowboy since it's on the wrong side of the street. To get to Soi Cowboy from the hotel, turn left out of the entrance, walk up to Sukhumvit, saying hello to the bar girls out front. Cross Sukhumvit whenever you get a chance on the overhead walkway, somewhere between Sois 18 and 20. One entrance to Soi Cowboy is from Soi 23.

One other thing. Oaktoad started a thread about the new developments on Soi 22, called Soi 22 Beer Garden. This is literally right next door to your hotel. You should check it out and post your impressions. One word to the wise: if you take a girl from a place next to your hotel you might feel a bit odd bringing another girl back to your hotel later. It could even lead to a confrontation, since you won't have much privacy coming or going.

Hi seubeu Good point you make there in your last post. My last trip left me feeling a little uncomfortable passing bars where I have regular "friends" with new "friends". I was feeling that BKK was getting too small. 555 Dave

seubeu, thanks for the correction with the address. I will definitely check out the Beer Garden down Soi 22. Also, thanks for the directions to NEP and Soi Cowboy from my hotel - that will help me get my bearings...

Dave, I know the feeling; The more girls you have the smaller LOS gets. I've been "caught" in the most unlikely places.

while BKK may get smaller with every girl you take, think of us guys who go to Patong. most of the best action in Patong(IMHO) takes place on a road 300 yards long. easy to get caught. you guys are lucky in BKK,you have Patpong,NEP,Cowboy etc. many places with distances between them.

Can you imagine getting busted by one girl while riding the BTS with another girl? You'd just be stuck with no escape for at least a full minute, and then probably chased off somewhere. Fortunately most BGs take the taxis.
