"Mak......(hor heep, mor maa, sala aaar (LOL..how may a's?), kor kai" Yurune, My dictionary has it as hor heep, mor-maa, sara aaar (), gaw-gai - pronounced with low tone. Never heard it pronounced with 'gin' first, but I'm happy to learn something new. BTW 'mak-farang' is 'chewing gum'... hs

kor kai, gaw gai....question of phonetic interpretation...same letter If it was a hard 'k' as in (egg) khor khai....it is designated by the additional h......same for P in Phuket......I've never seen anything statring with kor kai (chicken) spelt with a 'g' using phonetics as set out by whoever it is that sets them out Krungthep.....not Grungthep
