I was wondering about that, seeing as how you said "Coming to BKK in DEC04 and meeting up with a TGF I met on the Internet", so I'm curious what your criteria for GF is - have you met her previously, or is she just a girl that's a friend, or what?
This line seems to be blurred heavily for guys going to LOS.

My criteria for GF is just what it says on the tin - a GIRL FRIEND- (not necessarily GIRLFRIEND). We havent yet met in person so lavishing gifts in gold would only be option if she becomes more than just a friend.
Hey lets not get all heavy here we all have different criteria and treat women differently.

The comments you are getting are ment to advise you to go into this with your eyes open.
Many members in here have been in your position, including myself.
We dont want to see you waste your money on someone that might be trying to con you.
You may be lucky and she is a very genuine person like she is saying she is, but more often than not this is not the case.
When we sit here tapping in the BS we and she can be anything we want to be, I am 6'3'', blond and slim, all of which is BS, I am 5'10'' grey and fat!
Just be open minded and take the comments as they are ment, good advice from people who have walked in them shoes.

Just because a girl has a "respectable" job selling shoes or whatever doesn't mean she won't take a farang for a ride if given the opportunity.

Oh mannos !! why TF the heck outta of a good hearted post..... keep it simple as to what a woman loves as gifts......special outing clothes, Victoria Secret wear, perfume.......Keep a budget !! say 4000-8000 baht and dont contineu always spoiling her....dont be a chump....even with Gold for a Uni-Girl Virgin !! like all of us have had in the past Uni-Stunners will eventually PAWN your Gold..........do one better than get a lawyer for Thai Passport/ USA Visa if she really wants deal with your ass getting hitched for the rest of her life.

She is 45-y-o BTW (younger than me I should add) but I didnt think age was relevant so I didnt mention it.
