Like most first impressions - yours was correct. Mr Pomposity does not have a clue. Based that view on this one trip to Soi Cowboy and a weekend in Pattaya no doubt.
Tell him to spend some time around the red-light areas of his own corner of farangland or to take a ride-along with the local police on a Saturday night through the Government housing areas. Losers??? If he opened his eyes he'd see that the farangs in LOS on-average are hi-so compared to what got left behind at home. Enjoy.

I suppose I was prompted by an overload of hearing Bullshit in the land of Fantasy and unreality. Farangs solving personal problems by pouring Singha and Chang down their necks like it is going out of fashion.
If you have a problem in Farangland, Thailand may be a short quick fix but the problem will return when one is there after a while ?

I work in BKK sometimes and have met all sorts. Rich and poor, famous and infamous, good guys and trash. Sounds like most countries.
However, I have met a lotta guys outside of Thailand that would love to be inside Thailand!
