I think it has to do with education.
Most of these countries mentionned are colonials or byproduct of colonialism and from my experience (in general), those poeple just think that they are on top and all else is inferior.
Mix that with alcohol (which kills inhibition) and the product is just plain vulgar
Errrr... Britain was never a colony (unless you go back to the Romans) and America was a colony once (but Americans rarely get into bar fights with Thais)...

might also have to do with the fact that asians and to some extent american nationals tend to go out and home earlier in the night than their european and aussie brothers. for sure a higher chance not to get involved in a fight earlier in the night when people around you aren't as drunk yet.
the non european nationals rather tend to go out and barfine early being home with their girl of the night whereas the aussie/eurpeans are more into drinking until late with all the nagative effects!

I thought this guy was a Brit? Or is the UK not part of Europe? At one point did not the UK bars close around 11:00 PM. It is usually the Brits I see well knackered late afternoon when the sun is still up! LOL
Griffen I think you got your continents mixed up. It is the Brits who are used to drinking quickly & heavily because of limited operating hours of pubs.
Pubs, bars and clubs will be allowed to open round the clock in the biggest shake-up of licensing laws for nearly 90 years.
Ministers believe the move will combat rowdiness caused by people drinking too much too fast and being ejected from pubs at the same time. They also believe the move will boost the economies of city centres.
The licensing laws date back to the First World War when they were introduced to discourage munitions workers from drinking. They have been eased but the present system, of 11pm closing throughout the week and 10.30pm on Sunday, dates from 1964.
And you guys are mistaken this was a film lifeted out of the Uni for Customer Service Training to service workers.

Many contributors to this topic seem to accept that there is no possible doubt that British and Australian visitors to Thailand are responsible for a disproportionate amount of farang alcohol related violence.
Where is the evidence for this?Is there some reliable survey which establishes this proposition?
If so I am not aware of it.However,if there is any cogent evidence what is it?
We all know,or should know,just how unreliable opinions based on isolated individual personal experience can be.

Valetta - I am English and can see for myself what English people are like. Ever since I was a kid I have witnessed the drunken English yob culture either on the British shores or abroad. Ask any Brit - they will tell you - most nights of the week in any English town there are always fights, disturbances, arrests etc... The guy in the video is a typical English yob (albeit a little older). You don't need some poncy, Government (jobs for the boys survey) to prove the point - it is a sad fact.
"Isolated individual personal experiences" - you must have had your head up your bottom for most of your life if you have not witnessed Brit yob culture.
