If you needed to establish traits that can be seen as a cultural values in the wider (indeed Asian) communities....you can first commence with "Face"
That value is broad..individual..business..family...military..and power brokers.

DG is absolutely right, they were definitely not ALL "sold by their parents" or pimped out against their will, etc...not even MOST of them were.

Now, as far as girls going into the business because they LIKE it...well, that's gotta be a f***ing miniscule percentage.
