Interesting responses. In my case less sneaking has been done over the years. I've been telling my better half most of the things (pertaining to the other sex) on my mind. Dilemma is tempered by varying degrees of guilt, excitement and a strong dose of conscience. That's why I'll never sneak out again but I will come to BKK, yet again.

I have a little something to throw into this thread if I may; My virst visit *is* for work, and I'll be in Bangkok for anywhere between 6 months and a year. My wife is completely supportive of this adventure, as my goal is to get some bills paid off and put away some savings for a house.
But to be gone so long... and abstain from sex totally... I've been mulling it over in my mind constantly since I got the job offer last week. I figure the best way I can do this is to totally bury myself in work to the point of exhaustion. (But how exhausted can you get in a brokerage firm, other than mentally?) Other things I've thought about doing is perhaps taking a Thai language class while I'm there, or Japanese, etc. ... going to all the movies I can stomach, trying out a bunch of places to eat, shopping, singing karaoke, finding a driving range and whackin a bucket of balls before I go back to my room to whack something else...
And I happen to LOVE great sex, like most men... if I were single this trip would be heaven on Earth, and I'd have no qualms about getting as deep into it as I could.

I fear Ballsburstin is right, however. If off the leash for 6-12 mos in BKK, you will need a will of iron not to succumb. A major part of the problem is that you will be in a social environment where everyone else seems to be doing it and not regarding it as any kind of big deal.

No wive or girlfriend i had would ever expect me to abstain from sex for such a long period of time.LIkewise I would not expect them to abstain.
I would just go ahead and be discreet about things.
You can still love you wive and have sex with other people.
