Prince Bira(The Thai racing driver) flew his Miles Gemini and his Argentine wife all the way from England to Bangkok in the early 1950's. It is in a book. He stopped at various points on route. One being Baghdad!
Bangkok must have been fascinating in the 50's although a bit hot without air-con.
Prince Bira died in December 1985 on a London Underground station.(Heart failure I think?)

Re MO with the BGs - I think that if you live here, and they're always available on tap, then inevitably the need to run around banging them non-stop diminishes. While there are worse things in life than giving some gorgeous 20yo a good seeing-to, there's no overwhelming compulsion to do this when you know that all you have to do is wander into the nearest MP.

Agreed that reading this board made my second trip to Thailand allot easier to sort out the places I wanted to visit as soon as I checked into Majestic Suites. ÝW/O the Internet, myself or any other guy who likes to enjoy the pleasures of a woman could've figured it out.
The Internet is great. I've learned how to get free satelite and a guaranteed 25% return on my stock investments, as well as finding where the best Bars and hottest women are found in any country in the world.

First trip to LOS was in 99, I had almost no info on the night life. I read about Annie's and knew it was near the Rajah Hotel, wherever that was. This board and other's like it means the average guy can get from the airport to a good hotel in the middle of all the action and hit the ground running instead of spinning his wheels trying to find the hot spots. He knows what the prices are and he won't get ripped by the cabbie taking him the long way via Pattaya to the Nana Hotel
Thais have been exploting Thais for alot longer then any farang has been comming to LOS to get laid. 15 days until I get to do a little exploting on my own.
