How about Missing in Action 1 with Chuck Norris. There are some pretty good gogo bar scenes in that one. Also there's Off limits with Wilem Defoe and Gregory Hines. They play a couple of military cops in Vietnam and in one scene they are chasing a suspect through the streets and the guy runs past a bunch of gogo bars and in front of one of them there's a sign that says Queens Castle ( Wow, they have one in Vietnam too? ). There's also one that's probably not very well known made in the 80's called Cruel Horizon that is very good. It's about a group of refugees from Vietnam trying to escape by boat to Thailand and if even one tenth of what they went through trying to escape to freedom is even close to how it really was then DAMN! Lots of good movies that were filmed, some at least partially, in LOS. Let's hope that there are more on the way. Peace

You can search the IMDB to find the bulk of movies that were filmed in Thailand. I don't believe there is any way to search for movies that have scenes supposedly set in Thailand, however.
E.g. it looks like MIA was filmed in the Phillipines, but I also recall Thailand being a launching point for the rescue mission (it was just on Thai TV in December). So unfortunately it looks like the gogo bar scenes are of the other, lesser Phillipine variety. The IMDB doesn't say anything at all about Thailand for this movie.
Off Limits though was indeed filmed in Thailand and apparently has a lot of Thai actors/extras.

Just watched Off Limits the other day (again -- nothing on TV). I had a small job with that production as well. There are indeed some Thai actors in it.
My favorite hobby is picking out the genuine bargirls in the old Viet Nam war flicks. I actually knew one (yes in the biblical sense) of the girls in Air America and my biggest claim to fame is I knew (and had a couple of great shags) with the hooker in the bar scene of The Deer Hunter. (One of my all time favorite films.) Not only that; Rod Stewart shagged her but I had her first! (Not on the same bed.)
I definitely want to see Fatal Orchid.
