I friend of mine from a UFO group told me about the thread on this forum and there seem to be quite a few misconceptions about, likewise a few patronizing and rediculing attitudes towards us Ufologists. For starters, it is an undeniable fact that there ARE UFO's, but no-one says they are Flying Saucers! The UFO is a Unidentified Flying Oblect. As such the object may be matter of pure energy or both. ÝIt may be intelligently controlled or not. An example is the ball of energy encountered by allied boomber plane pilots over Germany towards the end of the WW2 and which are sufficiently documented as real experiences. I understand from Mr Hermanolobo's postings that he is in air trafic control and as such may encounter unidentified phenomena in pursuit of that occupation. This happens regularly. As for Ufologists in Bangkok may I inform that the city is actually quite popular with us for recreational purposes. I think you will find that ours are at list as big as aeroman's. As for the initial lighthearted start of the thread by MR liftoff (are you still in orbit MR liftoff?) I can only endorse his request for the members of this board to come forward without consideration of riidicule and tell about ÝUnexplained phenomena in the sky on on the ground which they may have seen or encountered. I have not investigated, so I do at the moment not know if there is an organized UFO group in Thailand, possibly there is, which could stilmulate your discussion. Thanks

HAL2001 or is it IBM2001 ? H-I, A-B, L-M ? There could be one shortly? Maybe there could be a trip to that weird UFO type temple? A colleague had a friend who worked for Boeing and quite a while before Area51 became famous from the X-Files etc he went camping up a mountain(Freedom Ridge?) with his family. According to my colleague he saw something very spooky and got himself and his family out of there A.S.A.P - He was quite frightened by something and swore he would not return. Back in I think August 1989 another colleague had a friend in the Royal Observer Corps(used latterly for nuke flash spotting if it ever happened). They were both in the aircraft recognition section(or something like that). Anyway in 1989 he was working on an oil rig on the North Sea when someone pointed out a US AF KC-135 refueling some fighters(not that uncommon) what was strange was one of the aircraft. There were three F-111's in formation with a Black Delta shape which was actually refuelling ! It had similar dimensions as an SR-71 so it definitely was not a TR3A(The laser designator a/c for the Stealth F-117). This man is an expert on aircraft recon so I believe this is what he saw. I believe he saw one of the 'Aurora Project' aircraft - the one that leaves 'doughnuts-on-a-rope' contrails and makes a strange pulsed rumble because of its PWDE engines(PWDE= Pulsed Wave Detonation Engine). If a Thai UFO group does start up I will not be fazed if any educated Ladyboys want to join. Broadmindedness needs to be the credo. Some UFO literature has indicated a mental/telepathic element with so-called aliens. With the mental discipline of Buddhism I am surprised they have not shown more interest in Thailand? I am not talking about T. Lobsang Rampa though ! About two-three years ago Channel 5 in the UK had a very interesting UFO programme in two parts. It was entitled something like 'The KGB UFO Files' There was some very interesting footage of a crashed disc in a Russian forest. The follow up programme was to be about the 'Face' on Mars and the links with the Egyptian pyramids. That programme was pulled and a repeat UFO programme shown in its place. Weird or what ? There is definitely something odd about the Mars stories? I wonder if any Thai fishermen have seen USO's in the Andaman Sea ? Ufologist's geeks ? Well I don't wear an anorak but probably the only Farang in a Go-Go Bar in a suit !

Mr H...I have no idea what your talking about , but I'm gonna read every word because I am sure you know something about the aliens among us. If you write it, I am gonna believe it. I'm gonna get a suitcase ready for when you instruct us to leave in a hurry. Damn, now I gotta watch this thread all night, just in case. Great stuff.

Gentlemen (excluding areoman who is abusive of us Ufologists) Please find below an article on UFO's over Thailand & Malaysia: Orange Balls of Light in Malaysia & Thailand Source: UFO ROUNDUP; Volume 6, Number 7; February 15, 2001 Editor: Joseph Trainor; http://ufoinfo.com/roundup/ LANTERNS OR UFOs? A MALAYSIAN MYSTERY "Flashes of bright orange light were sighted over Bandar Sunway, 16 kilometers (10 miles) from Petaling Jaua," in the Southeast Asian country of Malaysia "on Monday, February 5, 2001." "The spectacle lasted for ten minutes before the lights disappeared from the clear skies." "Witnesses said the lights resembled eight flaming balls Ýwhich floated north in a straight row over the office buildings in the Plaza Mentari at about 8:10 p.m." "Scores of people who witnessed the incident were baffled over the sight and many called up the district police headquarters to ask for a clarification." "A witness, who declined to be named, said the objects appeared to be moving towards each other before disappearing into the night sky." "The (Malaysian) Department of Civil Aviation in Subang, located 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the incident, said an aircraft was flying in the vicinity at that time." "The staff running the control room of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF)" base near Kuala Lumpur, the national capital, "said they had not received any reports about the sightings. ÝThey declined to comment further." A couple of days later, the Malaysian newspaper The Star reported that it had an answer to the UFO sightings in Petaling Jaya. Ý"UFOs spotted hovering near a Malaysian city turned out to be 'good luck' lanterns." "Traffic came to a standstill in Petaling Jaya as people stared at the red, orange, pink and white lights." "But a newspaper reporter followed the UFOs and discovered they were 'good luck' lanterns released from a local temple." "Wani Mathiah of The Star said the paper lanterns were being released as part of the Chap Goh Meh celebration." Ý(See The Star for February 6, 2001, "Flaming UFOs spotted," and for February 8, 2001, "UFOs were 'good luck' lanterns." ÝMany thanks to Gerry Lovell, John M. Novak and Todd Lemire for these newspaper articles.) (Editor's Comment: ÝSo the Malaysian UFOs were just floating paper lanterns, eh? ÝThen what are we to make of the following report?) FLIGHT OF ORANGE UFOs PASSES OVER THAILAND On Friday, February 9, 2001, at 9:30 p.m., Elizabeth Wigg and her husband were walking along a street in Chang Mai, a city in northern Thailand when they spotted some unusual lights approaching from the south. "We saw approximately seven to ten glowing orange and pink balls in the sky above us," Elizabeth reported, "Very high up in the sky, moving at a very rapid speed, moving towards the north. ÝThey were not interacting with each other but moving independently. ÝThey were glowing orange and pink--almost a fire colour, and were completely round. " The UFOs' altitude "was hard to say but when in the sky, they covered about a quarter of our vision (field of view--J.T.) in about a minute, which was how long we watched them before they disappeared behind some office buildings." Chang Mai is about 375 kilometers (225 miles) north of Bangkok, the national capital. (Editor's Comment: ÝInteresting. ÝAnother sighting of UFOs in Southeast Asia four days after the event in Petaling Jaya. ÝWere these the Malaysian 'good luck' lanterns traveling hundreds of miles to the northwest against the prevailing wind? ÝOr a flight of UFOs heading back to their base in the Himalayas?) I wish a special WELCOME to MR Fastmover who has an open mind. I also endorce MR Hermanolobo for his attire, I myself have 2 suits from a tailor on the corner of Sukumvit Road and Soi 9 (I think). MR liftoff presumably also has a suit , but presumably it must be a spacesuit ÝMR liftoff? I am pleased that since joining this forum we now have 4 Ufologists within the forum! Has Mr Fastmover also got a suit? Presumably Aeroman has no suit as he seem to be biased and that is not the attitude of a gentleman so I don't think he looks nice in a suit
