I have not seen a UFO, but I did witness a sighting which took place in Australia. By the time that I arrived, there were about 30 people gathered at a local sportsground. Even though the two original witnesses did not claim the UFO had landed, many were scouring the ground for clues. Any disturbance or imprint was seen as significant. New arrivals were updated with the latest findings, and it was not long before it was accepted that the UFO had indeed landed. The original witnesses did nothing to disabuse the crowd of their error, presumably not wanting to spoil a good story. I think that human imagination and a penchant for gossip explains most UFO sightings.
Human beings make lousy witnesses, which is why we need the scientific method to divorce ourselves from our all too unreliable senses. Several studies have shown that so-called trained observers such as policemen and pilots, are often less accurate witnesses then the general public.
Feelings of being abducted, are not proof of abduction, no matter how vivid the experience. It is simply much more likely that something has gone wrong with the abductees complicated brain and senses, than aliens are visitng us.
As far as the low incidence of sightings in Thailand is concerned, perhaps it would more appropriate to explain the high incidence in The West and the US in particular. Perhaps we have more time on our hands for such diversions, and ready access to communication and the media ?

when you are busy shagging, who has the time to go outside and look at the sky? Unless I get reports from shaggers who shag on the beaches of Phuket or Samui and who are only shagging the CG, the reverse CG styles, I will not be convinced. didn't realize that they were that high, but then again was not paying attention to distance..

Thank you - it also has to do, IMO, with a lot of people in our cultures desperately seeking a meaning to their own lives (most of them without purpose), and thus a tendency to seek such a purpose in external factors -- I mean, being able to claim one has the low-down on the truth about UFOs can make you part of an exclusive club of mutual admirers.

People with strong beliefs invariably adopt the belief first, and then look only for 'evidence' that supports their belief, regardless of how spurious or wacky that evidence is. And, of course, they ignore all evidence which refutes their belief.
The more intelligent approach and one that is more intellectually valid (albeit less comfortable to believers) is to adopt a belief or theory and then look for evidence which destroys that theory. If the theory still stands after such an attack, then it has more chance of being 'truth'. It can't be accepted as truth (how do we know what new evidence might appear in the future), but it will remain a theory worthy of investigating.
UFO believers generally belong to the first category. The intelligent and intellectually curious belong to the second.
