Yep. And when the p4p girl gets too old, she'll go back to the village and expect (and probably get) the same from her kids and raise their babies too. This is the mentality of the rural Thai retirement plan. Not only Thai.

On another note, a couple of years ago I met a girl of 18, from a bar in Samui, and paid for her to leave the bar and then we flew together to BKK, where she went home to Surin. This was to get her out of the bar scene....however, now she is back working in Samui after her Thai b/f left her whilst she was pregnant...!

- yes, your probably correct - she hadn't learnt her lesson, but it wasn't just about about that, it was more about giving her an opportunity to leave the bar scene whilst I believed there may have been a good chance, she may not return...
- Have I learnt my lesson? - Well, as I gain more knowledge and experience, then of course there are lessons to be learnt.
- and did I expect that? - My honest answer at the time was 'no' - given my limited knowledge...but, for me, it was more about giving the opportunity than anything else.
- would I do it again? if I truly believed there was a strong possibilty, them maybe...!
