always happy to pass on some thoughts/ideas - normally i spend a day in and around her apartment, chat with local motorcycle guys, housemaids etc, then a day at her job, either talk to workmates, and/or usually end up talking with the girl herself, depending on whats required, make out I'm the rich newbie in town, or else speak in Thai, show the family pics, tell her i understand thais and farangs, by her drinks but make it clear will get nothing else out of me, and normally end up having a pretty straight 'big brother' type chat ....
Two points come to mind, 1. Take careful note of who she hangs out/stays with - Thais are not individuals, if her friends are p4ps, or into 2 timming farangs, she will do likewise - 2. Ask you to get as many facts as possible from her, re what she does, where she goes etc, then double check to see how much is true, uncover a few small lies, and the big ones generally not far behind !

I have also used TPE's services on several occasions and can certainly recommend him to anyone who is concerned that his TGF might be sharing her affections with more than one farang. In my case TPE's initial impression of my TGF was pretty accurate (actually it was too accurate for my tastes so I promptly ignored it and then experienced the usual consequences... depleted bank balance, emotional highs and lows, even made contact with some of her other farang friends). On the plus side I have had a lot of fun, made some Thai friends and gained a far better appreciation of the life of a typical bar girl and the pressures that they are put under by their families. In fact it has finally persuaded me to move to Thailand in December (I guess TPE's advice on this one would be to stay where I am but as usual I will ignore that too.... at least if it doesn't work out with my current TGF there will be someone else around to take her place!!)
Would I use TPE's services again? Certainly though this time I would actually pay more attention to his advice on potential TGFs even if it conflicted with my own impressions.

555 - cheers Lefty, how many drinks do you want ?? - of course what people dont realise, I spent about 10 years getting ripped off myself as I gradually aquired the local knowledge which usually helps me some up most TGs reasonably accurately these days - one thing tho, you have to admit it is a fun learning curve ... as long as you can afford it !

Please understand that I did not mean TPE rate is expensive in general. It is simply not affordable to me.
Since my TG lives in Udon Thani, the total costs, daily rate+air+hotel, to hire TPE would be $600+ and that's simply not affordable to me.
I'm currently sponsoring my TG only about 8k month and after that, I do not have much spare money at all. So I was looking for a cheap alternative but sound like it would be more risky to hire cheap unknown PI.
I trust my TG, but I have read countless bad stories about sponsoring TG and how TGs are lying about love etc. This is my first TG I met from my first trip to BKK.
Well.. so my only option seems continue to trust my TG and no PI for me even if I might be fooled!!  .
Sorry...do you mind if I ask $8k USD or ??

I recently received an inquiry with a referral from this forum, so I thought I would post my opinion here.
As with anything, you get what we pay for. There are some good PI's here in Thailand and some who are not professional by any means. If you want to hire a cheap PI then don't expect quality service or discretion either. If you want a good PI and good results, pay a reasonable cost. 5000 - 6000 baht per day for a good PI is not unreasonable especially if you consider that in the long run you will save far more than that by not handing out money to a girl who is taking you (and probably a few others) for a ride. A professional PI will never reveal his identity as a PI (unless working with law officials) so targets never even suspect they are being investigated when a professional PI is at work.
Don't expect to get gold when you pay with dirt.

I would like to give you a totally free advice. There is no girls 99 % in patpong nana cowboy or any MP that is a normal girl and if you marry a hooker then you take the problems with you. So if you girl comes from this places just asmume she is banging some other brother in forums as soon as she have cried you bye bye at the air port.

There is no magic way to get some girl 3 emails. The only way is to ask her for them or ask the person in the internet cafe that writes them. There is no way you can trace email IF this person did not install a spyware on each of the computers ( about 1000 commputers around bangkok ) that people usually write there email in. All around nana and suk. And off course this people will help you they get more money then the bar girl gives them.
