but by now you must be thinking of an exit stratergy
as you do not appear to want a face to face situation
heres one I am aware of and have yet to do but I keep it as plan z if the situation gets to tricky
i am aware you want to go to chang mai have you told her when you are going ?
quite simply tell her you are going on thursday morning
book the fliight for wednesday
arrange for her to be out the hotel room
(go shopping, go home to change etc etc )
then get the hell out of dodge
go airside asap as she cant follow you
if you have already booked the flight then just change the flight time its free or a local travel agent will charge you 100 bhat

Geez PP, this just gets better and better... 
Funny thing keeps going through my head as we hear this tale of horror unfold. I am reminded of a scene, almost 2 years ago, after my TGF decided she was my TGF, and we were walking hand-in-hand down Suk. I asked her how she felt about that, as most Thais don't hand hold. Her response: "I not care what people think, I farang lady now!"
Fast forward to today, she still holds my hand (with the same clammy dead fish grasp), but her reactions to things in public, and her views about some things have gotten more conservative. I think while engaged in the bar life, the element of "I don't give a f*ck" is more prevalent. Once they are out of that particular sisterhood, years of conditioning and the everyday social pressures start to come to the fore again.
Just some thoughts, just some thoughts. I liked the idea about slipping off a day early to Chang Mai. Do you think she would follow you by bus?

sorry pp short term memory loss due top lack of booze
plans still valid change the ticket to puket /chang rai/ etc
better still jump on a bangkok airways to samui
or get one of those hotel taxis to take you to pattaya
have a few days chill out
and try to have a few happier days before the big bird takes you back to that place where you have to earn money for you next trip out
