Ronnie Reagan: Yo Pres'!! I should clarify with "back to current football"!! ha ha ha!! As for the Rams, once Frontiere opened her check book the Rams got better. Okay. Once she hired Dick Vermille, the Rams got better. Now we have a head coach (Mad Martz) with his head up his ass and a team that could've been a dynstay is just trying to win another super bowl. Looks like some big moves might happened before draft day. Patriots might move up as well as the Eagles. San Diego, Oakland, Detriot and San Fran might move down for more picks. Manning or Galley?? I'd take Manning if I were Chargers. Brees sucks and LT is already running through and around defenses with their offensive line, so I don't think they need Galley.

Georgia "opened her checkbook" only because she got such a sweet deal in St. Louis. She ruined the LA Rams. She was responsible for a long list of wasted past-their-prime QB signings: Bert Jones, Steve Bartkowski, Dan Pastorini, Dieter Brock, Joe Namath (OK, that was actually Carroll Rosenbloom's fault), etc. She is NFL Public Enemy #1 in my book for driving the Rams out of LA. I only wish that when she marries for the 9th time, her future husband will be as much a gold digger as she was and will waste her ill gotten fortune. Not that I'm still bitter...

Yo Pres. I couldn't agree with you more. She did ruin the Rams, but at least she did approve the hiring of Dick Vermielle. Not that that makes up for anything, but without him, we still would be lookin' for our 1st championship. I hope that freakin' Martz gets his head our of his ass and puts his ego aside for the better of the team. If the Rams take qb in the 1st round as well as sign Bulger to a long term contract I'm gonna sh#% a whole wall. Okay. Unless Manning falls all the way to them!! ha ha ha!! How in the world can you resign TE Brandon Manumaleuna as then also sign fragile Chris Chandler as well?? Martz is just killin' me!! And let's not even get into Martz's game plan where he only has #28 run the ball 9 times in the entire game. But, through all this, I'm still a Rams fan and will be.

Dillon is no prize. His on field play barely makes up for his off-field problems. I read an article on him, he has a pretty bad rap sheet. Let's hope he can get a fresh start and get his life going in the right direction. Krypto

Irving Fryar did it, and so did the defensive end that played for the Pack' & the Eagles (Reggie something). I think he is a Minister now. Also, look at how Chris Carter turned his life around, and then used his experiences to help others. There are some good professional athletes out there, you just don't hear alot about the people that do good things. Maybe we shouldn't glamourize the "thugs" in sports so much, and start talking more about the good guys? Krypto

That is going to difficult. Too many bad eggs in professional sports.

There are On-the-field problem guys and Off-the-field problem guys. The On-the-field ones are the guys like Terrell Owens, Brian Cox, & Corey Dillon, you hear all about their antics during the game, and you shake your head, but never hear about them outside of that. I could be wrong but I don't think I have heard of Dillon being arrested or anything like that. You never heard T.O's teammates complain about him because as much as he bitched, he was the hardest and most competitive worker on the team, they would just say "that's T.O being T.O". These guys lose it on the field (sidelines) because they are so competitive but that doesnt take anything from their performance. Remember Brian Cox, he was one of the most heaviest fined guys (yelling a umps, flipping off the crowd, fighting, taunting, etc) but you never heard a peep from him outside the stadium and later in his career, teams were signing him to be the role player/leader. The Off-the-field ones are the guys like Darrell Russell, Bam Morris, and Lawrence Phillips who get arrested for rape, spousal abuse, drug dealing and money laundering. These are the bad apples you want to avoid having on your team. Krypto is right, plenty of guys have turned it around, being a Patriots fan, we used to hear about I.Fryer on a weekly basis (once he actually got so mad during a game, he left the stadium got into a car accident) but he soon enough righted his ship in Miami, then Philly. Sometimes all they need is a new home and the right system. I think Dillon will be a good fit (yes, I am a Pats fan) because 1) he is coming into a team in which he won't be the main guy carrying the load, 2) he still has plenty of ability left, 3) the team is the defending SB Champ, so they have the experience on going all the way, and 4) he still has something to prove and will be playing with a chip on his shoulder (especially when they play the Bengals on Dec 13th). He also just wants to win because he has never even smelled the Playoffs and he shows this desire by willingly restructuring his contract for way less money just to be a part of the Patriots. I would say that of all the free agent signings this yr, the Dillon-Patriots signing is one of best "fit" signings. Other teams sign certain players because they have amazing ability but don't really have the glaring need for that player. Also, Dillon will be kept in check under a coach like Bill Belichick who will bench/suspend/cut players if they start to become a problem. Now...What to do with Ty Law? I say trade him now for extra draft picks next year, a 1st and a 3rd sounds nice.

I guess I was wrong about Dillon not having Off-the-field problems... "During his seven seasons with the Bengals, he was arrested once for fourth-degree domestic assault following an August 2000 altercation with his wife and another time, during his rookie year, for DUI, negligent driving, and driving with a suspended license. He was considered the best running back in the 1997 draft but slipped to the second round because of a reported nine arrests as a Seattle teenager."
