I like BKK for the better (non-p4p) nightlife, but Pattaya offers more bang for the buck. I split my time between the two, so I suppose I'd rate them even.

how many bangkok votes have been to both?
I have 5 trips bangkok 4 included a side trip to pattaya. My vote pattaya better GFE potential. less drama queens. my bet is bangkok voters like it because there is a better choice of young (21-23) p4p there.

Between Girls, Golf and Guns i've yet to have a bad experience in the place.
I'd prefer a sharp stick in the eye than to venture in and around Soi 33 again.
