I talked about Grenada, not Hawaii and Guam. I'm certainly happy to debate about the 10,000-foot runway there. I've see it myself. Are you saying the Cubans and Soviets weren't building an massive airport on Grenada between 1979 and 1983? The airport was completed by the democratic Grenadan govt. in 1984, but as a civilian airport. The runway ended up being 8,999 feet long.

But about Hawaii-
The U.S. government didn't order an invasion of Hawaii. The U.S. Minister to Hawaii, John L. Stevens, ordered the Marines to keep order in Honolulu during the 1893 coup without authorization from Washington.
