Just went through Immigrations and Customs in LAX (Los Angeles USA). Immigrations took about 10 seconds - the guy writing a "one" on my customs form. Don't know what it meant, but I was ready to be stopped and searched.
Got my bag, went through customs, who waived me through without even looking at the customs form. Got to the final exit and all the Customs guy did was make sure I had filled it out and that it was stamped and he took it and waved me through.
This weekend I drove across the bridge connecting Detroit to Winsdor (ON) and discovered that it is easier for me to go in and out of the Peoples Republic of China than it is for me travel between the US and Canada.
They apparently did not like the fact I had Texas vice Michigan plates on my car...
