this is all crap. we do it because we are in our 40's and 50's and we can get a 20 year old girl that is pretty and actually pays attention to us. that's it.

You want attention from 20 year old's? then you can all I'm getting cause I've had enough.
Here in farangland I get more "attention" from young women now than I ever did 20 plus years ago. Offers of lunch, drinks and more if I want it. And I hate it.
Malicious, over-weight, spoilt little princesses one and all who constantly manipulate the system and their managers to their own advantage.
I recently had to sort out a complaint of the "offensive sexual content" of the wallpaper of one of my male staff's computer - although it was a studio released picture from a then current popular film we still had to have a circus of an investigation. The girl who complained was the one who loved to shove her assets in male co-workers faces - when he didn't respond - she complained about the wallpaper. Nasty, lazy and dangerous little bitch.
It ain't the age - its the attitude. The people who tell me that a guy like me could never find a decent woman in my own country are 100% correct.

Thought 1. Seajohn, yeh, I used to know a Thai girl that had strong resemblance to Lucy Lui, gotta leave the lights on while screwing this chick, the mental image was great. Always looked forward to seeing her again.
Thought 2. Bears and bulls, just like the market.
Some guys like to cuddle and do the GFE...cuddly as teddy bears.

I am on the bulls team but I am fine with anyboby who is on any team as long as they are enjoying it.

Interesting story actually (to me anyway.)
When I first saw her, I just blurted out "good God but you are cute!"
We had a good time, and I found myself very strongly attracted to the lady (who, viewed objectively is no better than a 6.5-7 max.)
We seemed to click ok, but it was a slower thing for her.
I saw her many times after that and we became friends as well. We went through some situations (I will admit, at the time I was really smitten) and I was frankly puzzled why she had this effect on me.
At all events (and I still see her from time to time) it was only a few months ago when I saw a pic of my old flame that the connection was made.
Did it cool my jets? Well they had cooled of their own, but it was rather strange to realize where all the BS on my part was coming from.
I obviously did not mention the connection to her, and I will see her again for a little one week tryst in a month or so.
Knowing the root cause has cooled things on my part though I had already evaluated the relationship as having no future long before.
Now, she is a friend, and I do like her company, but I am allowing things to slowly die on the vine.
Weird situation though, the strength of imprinting is not to be underestimated!

Thanks for the story, Sporadic......... Yes, I guess realizing the strength of past impressions is important. One doesn't want to be always either living in a delusion or always chasing after an impossible image--not where women are concerned. A bit of fantasy can sweeten the pot though, in my experience.

Big time. It was a serious "Aha!" moment when I realized why I was obsessing on the lady. Very liberating.
Interestingly enough, by the time I had this realization, we had become friends and enjoyed real affection.
Weird though how some issue from thirty years back can still rear it´s head.

Agreed. I was not chasing an illusory "perfect woman" it just so happened that there was a similarity that kicked my libido into high gear.
Terribly unfair for the lady in question, I know, but it was not deliberate on my part, and we both know how we met (p4p) so eyes were wide open on both sides.
No harm done in the end.

I learned a long time ago to judge women by how they treated ME. I have no time for someone who has no time for me. I seriously doubt you can "win" someone over, and even if you did, as you described, she would discover her market value and run off eventually.
That liberation has also yielded some nice encounters, as everyone knows, the best way to interest a lady is not to show any interest!
Some of the young stud-boys would be shocked to know how much (non p4p) trim I have enjoyed, certainly way more than I did in my twenties, but for me, p4p keeps things on an even keel, no (well most of the time) messy entanglments.
