There was a Thai disco song called "Tee Nee is Banana" that was playing in every go-go in LOS during my first trip (fall 2002). It was so freaking obnoxious that I came to love it! The rhythm track sounds like a spring going "boing, boing, boing" the singer sounds like a chipmunk and I think the lyrics say something like "eat dick here, eat dick now, eat it like crazy" I was never able to get a TG to translate for me, all they would say is "Cannot. Baaad song" I've never heard this song played again on any of my subsequent trips, but luckily i've got it on CD whenever I want to transport myself back to that very first trip.

If its the song I thinking of - the group would be Bad Company on thier 2nd album Bad Company From their second album, Straight Shooter, "Feel Like Making Love" starts out with a nice acoustic guitar introduction. http://www.thebestofwebsite.com/Bands/Bad_Company.htm Calzoid

That damn cheecky girls song. It's a crappy song, I know, but the very first time I heard it was at Angel's Disco watching the girls do their dance routine on my first trip. Then I noticed it was being played pretty much everywhere. I don't hear it anymore thank god, but on the rare occations that it's played on the radio, it takes me right back to LOS. I like Chess - One Night In Bangfkok to get me psyc'd for the plane flight.

Corny as fuk but whenever I hear "Have you ever seen the rain?" by CCR that reminds me of back in the late 80's as a young twat of 21 I was setting world records for shagging BG's. I remember in Pattaya when there was a massive complex in Soi 7, there used to be this one guitarist with long hair who could play any Purple/Hendrix song you could mention, that was in the days when most duo's/bands were awful. ahhh memories

Wow, these are some dated, but good songs. better remenice about the good old days, because, r&b, hip hop and k-pop looks to be making their mark in bkk. Anyone heard of BOA?? She's K-Pop and very popular in China and Japan. She had a concert in BKK. * K-Pop = Korean Pop
